Question about ADR for Akerhaus

I have an ADR for 8:15 for the princess breakfast at Akerhaus (sp?) and was reading through my e-mail confirmation the other night and wondered if I had to pay in advance? I saw something that said they would charge you 10% or something if you were a no show. It has been so long I don't remember giving them my credit card info. Should I call and ask. I did everything online at the disney site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

They ask for a credit card to hold your reservation. Nothing is charged unless you do not show or you do not cancel within the time shown on the reservation site---I think it is 24 hours but it could be 48. CRT is the same way as are all signature reservations. Enjoy your breakfast. We went at Christmas and the Girls got to lead the Princess parade with Snow White. They were very excited.

Actually CRT is not the same. With CRT, if you're paying OOP then you are paying up front for your meal. If you've linked a room reservation which has a dining plan (basic or deluxe) then your credit card is used just to guarantee your ADR but the penalty for not showing I believe is the full price of the meal.

At Akershus it's just a credit card guarantee and if you don't show and didn't cancel 2 days ahead of time then you're charged I think it's a $10pp no show fee.

Not all signature restaurants require credit card holds. I didn't leave a credit card number for my Yachtman Steakhouse ADR.

Thanks! I can't remember leaving a credit card number. I need to just look at my paperwork that I printed out with my confirmation number. This is the only character meal we are going to and I would feel horrible if I made a mistake and we really don't have an ADR.

I know I used a credit card for Akershus as I did for HDDR. HDDR was immediately charged to my CC, but Akershus has not been charged to my CC. I know you have to cancel w/in 2 days because I just looked it up as I was thinking of scheduling it for a different day! It's hard to remember everything you do because it's so far in advance. Thank heaven for my online credit card statements to keep me on track!!
