Question about ADR confirmation numbers

I called Disney two days ago to change my ADR at Sanaa from a 2:45p ADR to a 5pm ADR. They gave me a new confirmation Number for this. My husband just called and changed our Chef mickeys ADR from 8:10a to 7:10a. They told him that the confirmation number is the same since we only changed the time..... Is this right?

Thoughts and past experiences, please!

I called and changed the time for one of my ADRs about a week ago, and the CM told me that she was changing my original ADR so I wouldn't have to worry about a new confirmation number. I guess they can do it both ways. I assume the CM made a whole new ADR for you rather than change your old one. You can call Disney Dining and confirm your ADRs and check the confirmation numbers to make sure everything's correct.

Changing from 2:45pm to 5:00pm is changing from a lunch reservation to a dinner reservation.
