Question about AAA discount online booking?

We aren't AAA members, however, we're considering joining strictly for the Disney room discounts. We're AP holders and FL residents, going in the middle of March (18th-21st) and as of yet, Disney has not released any discounts for that time frame. Looking at AAA's site, it appears that anyone can get onto the AAA site and book a Disney resort room. Are the prices quoted on the website the price minus the discount or do you have to call in to get the discount direct from Disney/AAA? Mousesavers says that AAA discounts for Deluxe rooms (we want to stay on the monorail line) are 10% off for March.

I think you have to be logged in as a AAA member to see the discounted price.

ETA: Nope. I'm wrong. You can see the discounted AAA rates without being logged in as a member.

but if you go to actually book the room at the discounted AAA price, it will ask for your AAA number. so you can't book online without being a member. fwiw, we joined AAA last year and are enjoying a $300 savings for our Disney vacation this year.

If the AAA rate is available, you're seeing the AAA rate. So like I put in my dates and put "Disney's" in the hotel name search field. I see $149 for CBR, but I see $119.10 for POFQ - so I know that the discount is available for POFQ, but not for CBR. It's not really obvious just from the search results unless you're familiar with the rack rate pricing already. I can usually tell what's left at the AAA rate by quickly scanning for non-whole-number prices, LOL.

yes, the price you are seeing is the discounted price. it won't show up if there is not a room. for instance, certain view locations at the poly don't show up for the week i'm there which means there are no AAA rooms available with that view for my vacation dates.
