I'm new to this whole planning thing so I'm just totally confused, :confused3 LOL.

I plan on using AAA to plan my upcoming trip in August for my family. I had a question about the dining. If you got your tickets through AAA are you still able to get the dining as well or do you have to order tickets directly through Disney in order to get the dining plan? Another thing, we are going to stay at a Disney Resort, do we even needs tickets to get the dining plan?

Now for the restaurants I noticed on the dining plans you are allowed one drink with your meals. So, do they not do free refills at table service? Every time you order another soda other then your free one, you get charged? I know it's a little thing but I was just wondering.

Thanks in advance.

:goodvibes Don't know the answers to all your questions. However, You can book a AAA pkg with dining plan. You just need to book it thru AAA.A pkg includes tickets, resort room and dining plan. The only way I know of you can get the Dining without tickets is if you are an Ap holder.

Don't know about the free refills, but I have to think that they would be included. As far as the AAA goes I just booked my package through AAA. You still get the AAA room rate. Yes you have to purchase tickets in order to get dining since you are staying at a resort. Doing the calculations, the dining plan is going to save me about 500 dollars. Good luck

Any questions, just keep asking:clown:

Thanks for the responses. I really want to do the deluxe dining plan, it added about $1000.00 to our total when I checked through Disneyworld.com. I just want to make sure it is worth it. I really want to go on vacation and have everything payed for ahead of time and just relax. But the price for the dining just seems so expensive. It is me, my husband and our 5 year old son on a 6 night-7 day trip. I've been looking on allears.net and checking out the pricing on restaurants and all that. What are the pros and cons of the dining plans, if any?

Also, any recomendations on places to eat that we shouldn't miss out on?

Thanks again!

Ok that is probably the most asked question in my house before I did the calculations. First things first you need to decide on where you want to eat. I will post my decisions below. In doing so you need to take into consideration, MMH & MEH for the parks. I used MMH to book early character breakfasts so that we could get there early and eat and get our day started right. I looked and made sure that we had plenty of variety with the types of food. Once you have that picked out, preliminary at least, open up one menu from allears.net and pick what you would want to eat. Do not pick out what you can afford to eat. This is what I did...

I picked out what I wanted from two restaurants, and averaged the prices together for the entrees, desserts, and beverages. Child menu entrees and beverages as well. I took that number and said ok I have, in your case 2 adults so I would multiply that by 2 and do the same to the kid average. Then also in your case I would multiply that 6. Don't for get to add a 3 dollar snack per day per person :lmao: Do the same for CS meals. Add those numbers up. If that number is more than you would spend on the DDP not the DxDP then use that one. If you want the DxDP then you can figure in breakfast as well.

I downloaded a huge spread sheet to help with everything from PScalculator.com but it had a bunch of errors in the formulas. Of course being the person that I am, I cracked the password on the file and fixed them. I have multiple sheets that can help, if you want I will email them to you. If you arn't Excel proficient it might be alittle much, but you can email me if you have any questions. :teacher:
