Question about AAA and last years free dining.

I just got off the phone with AAA to get a price of our Oct. trip. The TA I spoke to told me the people who booked last year were able to add the free dining after it came out. I thought if I booked through AAA and the free dining was to happen (wishful thinking) I would have to cancel and rebook through Disney Travel. Does anyone know if that is correct? Did this actually happen to anybody? Thanks for a help. Melissa

my AAA TA said she watches for codes for her clients and. after confirming w/the client, switches the ressie for you. In the case of free dining last year, you lost the AAA room discount to add it. You would have to crunch the #'s to see what was a better deal. I've seen posts that indicate it was a great deal for the Value resorts and not as good for the Deluxe. Keep watching here for the codes!

It would work out excellent for me because we are going for 10 nights @ POP. That is over $1000 for the dining plan (we will get either way). We probably will not be saving but a couple hundred max through AAA.
