I contacted Chef Gordon a few months ago, and he emailed me back & we booked the night of 4/4/03 for our dinner :p . He also said he'd be contacting me a few days prior to get our menu selections.

I haven't heard from him yet. How far out does he usually contact the guests?

Also, approximately what time does the dinner begin?

Just trying to plan out our stay!

The dinner is usually set for 6:00pm. I'd email him back to reconfirm before you arrive and set the menu then also.

He is very flexible and can work with a short notice if needed. The dinner time can also be varied if you have a conflict.

Enjoy the experience- it's a real treat! :)

Can you provide me with his contact information? I would like to look into setting up something like that.

Do you know if they have something like that in BCV?

Here is the current information for "A Private Affair" . HH is currently the only DVC resort to offer anything like this.

Enjoy!

We just did "A Private Affair" on 3/26. Gordon was very accomadating. My sister called him from the room the day before and set the menu. He was easy to work with and the meal was fantastic. Also the resort offers a tour of HHI for $20 a head that was an excellent deal. This is new and very informative. Jerry.

While there is nothing like this that is provided by Disney at any resorts other than Hilton Head, personal chef service is available in Orlando. There's at least one that I've seen mentioned and looks reasonable - http://www.cooks4u.com/ . Not only will they come out and cook a meal for you, but they will also come out and cook a number of reheatable meals and stock your fridge. This looks like a great idea if you've got a large party in a villa and don't want to take the time to cook.

Mur!
