Question about a Disney Offer that I got

I recieved a post card (Well, actually, the post card came addressed to my two year old daughter!) with an offer that was $49.00 a night at a value resort, and $79.00 a night for moderates. The offer is for tis fall. There is a little number highlighted in yellow that you need to use to get that rate.

My question is that we are not planning a trip to Disney this fall, and even with the great deal, we will have to pass on the offer. One of my friends, however, *IS* planning a trip to Disney in the fall and I was thinking I could offer her the postcard if they were allowed to use it.

Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? Is it something that my friend can use or is it only for my family to use?

I believe that the "pin" number can only be used by the person to whom the postcard is addressed. She could always call and see if they will accept it.

The offer is non-transferrable. :( They will honor it for your family if you should decide to go. I've gotten a few postcard offers in the past and they were all addressed to my DS. When I called about it, the CM laughed and said that the family could use it. (I'd had visions of DS trying to peer over the registration counter in order to sign us in).

Is it a persnal pin # or a special rate code.
If a code they should not have a problem. The code is needed so disney can look up the special rate.
Personal pin would be locked to name.

We just got the $79 moderate resort rate for our trip during Labor Day weekend. We are Florida residents, so it was florida resident rate.

I don't know if you're friend will be able to use the pin number or not. It won't hurt to ask though. :D

We got one that was addressed to my Mom but sent to my address. I have no idea how they got my mom's name and my address together as my Mom hasn't gone to Disney with us. I wonder if I can use the post card anyways??

That the person who received the card needs to be in the party and that the PIN offers are non-transferable, but hey, it never hurts to ask!

Good luck!

My sister got one and was going to pay for a room for me since I will be there on my birthday. (B-day present) But she was told since she won't be there we can't use it even though she was going to pay for it.:(

So I'm still waiting for a code.

I had gotten an email offer. So I booked @ Pop for $49.00. In Oct. When I gave them the "PIN" they asked if I was "Mrs. XXX. They knew exactly who I was. So each pin number is assigned to a person.

My dd got it as she is an annual passholder (ours already expired). I think any version of an annual pass and you can call for the rate.

Maybe they are recruiting the kids so they can start spending their "HUGE" allowances on disney vacations--hence the low rates :sunny:

FYI...I am not a pass holder. Never had a pass. I did however receive a post card a few months ago. Those deals were for Aug. and Sept. Then received an email for Oct.-Dec. The later is what I bought. I'm not sure why I was sent the deal as I know alot of the pass holders did not receive an offer.
