Question about 7/5 package and checking in a day earlier?

I have the 7/5 package at CSR, Sun. to Sun. We are driving to WDW. If we would decide to drive straight through and not stop, and check into CSR on Sat. would we be able to? Would they charge us rack rates, or could they give us a discount?

Has anyone ever done this?

I believe if there was a room available, you would be given rack rate. I have heard it's always better to call ahead than just show up, as there may not be any rooms available for that night.

why not just stay at a hotel/motel off site for that night?? you guys could prob use the rest from the drive and get up the next morn and check in , then hit the parks. even if your room wasnt ready you still have paid for the park admission for that day.
