I currently have a free dining package in December. I understand that, if I make my FP at 60 days and then stay off site, my FPs will be cancelled. However, closer to go time, but before the 30 day cancellation deadline, I may decide to get annual passes and stay at a different (still on site) resort instead. Will this have any impact on my fastpass reservations?

FPs need tickets to “exist” so to speak. If you do something to cancel your underlying source of tickets - such as cancelling a package - you need to replace those tickets right away. It is not instant - meaning if you cancel a package the FPs won’t be deleted right away, you get a day or so grace period to replace your ticket media - but they will eventually go poof if no tickets are added.

In your case, I’d buy the APs and link them to your account first, then cancel the package second.

Hope that helps.

In order to keep the FPs made at the 60+ window two things need to happen:
  1. You must continue to have valid admission media in your MDE account and associated with your name for all days that you have FP reservations.
  2. You must have an onsite stay that coincides with each of those days.
Keep in mind that AP holders can only book a limited number of FP days. This may impact your FPs if you have a lengthy stay.

How many FP days can AP holders book?
