I was wondering how the dinner rotation works on the 4 night cruise. Which restaurant repeats (i.e. would it be TTAP or TAPP)?

Also, which night is typically Pirate Night?

Thanks for your help, I am trying to decide which night for Palo reservations.

The restaurant the repeats is the one on your first night. Using your example it would be TAPT

Hello,
when you get into your room your dining ticket will b e waiting for you also on your KTTWK it will have the initials for your rotation. You will do each restaurant once, then on the last night you will repeat the first restaurant you ate at.
On our 4 day the pirate night hadnt started yet, but we just did a 3 day last month and it was the second night on the ship after we left Nassau. Sorry i don't know about the 4 day,

Thanks for your quick responses. I've done 7 and 3 night cruises, but wasn't sure how the 4 night worked. Thanks!

We just cruised the 4 night last week and SKMinnie48 is correct. Our rotation was TAPP with Pirate Night at Parrot Cay on night 3. Also, breakfast on the morning of debarkation will be the last restaurant you had dinner in.

We were on the same 4 night as Jrsy Boy and we had pirate night in Animators. They didn't do the wall changing that night, they held that on the last night. So our rotation was PTAPAP.

hope you don't mind me jumping on with a question here....about how long does dinner last? We have early seating and have booked Palo for our last night at 7:30. If the kids want to do dinner in the regular dining room,(if we get AP as the last two restaurants, I'm sure they would like to see the "show") can we go with them and still make it to Palo by 7:30?

There have been a number of changes over the past 6 months. Pirate Night is the 3rd night, so no matter which restaurant you are in, they will all have the same menu. On the 4th night, you'll repeat your Pirate Night restaurant, but with their standard menu. In your example, it would be the TAPP option.

As someone else mentioned, if you have PTAA, then the Animators Palette light show would take place on the 4th night.

Based on experience, Palo is most crowded on the 4th night. That's also the day they serve the brunch. Not sure if that will make any difference for you. My own personal preference is enjoying Palo on the very first night. The kids were excited to get right to the kids clubs and we found it was a great way to start the cruise. It's also very quiet on the first night and you can arrange your reservation around your regular dining schedule to take advantage of double dipping if you like.

Cepmom, I think early seating is not quite as long as the 2nd seating. I would guess that taking your time, you would finish up at 8pm, but could easily be out of there by 7:30. Especially if it's just the kids eating. Just let your servers know.

It can pretty much last as long or as short as you want. Servers are very accomodating to other plans. Our DS didn't care for appetizers, so they brought his entree out right away. Once you've ordered everything, there isn't much lag between clearing one set of dishes and replacing them with the next course. And you don't have to order an appetizer, a salad and an entree - the less you order, the quicker you are done.

Hi all,
General question for all, this will be our first Disney cruise and I want my family to enjoy/experience all the restaurants during the dinners. I also booked a REAS package for my wife and I since it'll be our 25th Anniversary. How the heck does this work, out of 4 nites one of the restaurants is repeated but how do we know which one is? Guess that's the question I have. Should I wait till I board to find out the rotation and then book Palos or take a shot at it now? Is there a system they use so I can figure it out? Also, I promise it'll be the last question, which day is best for the reservations to the spa? At sea day or in port day? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :confused3

Unfortunately, you won't know until you receive your room keys at check in. They will have your dining rotation signified by abbreviations for the restaurants. T=Tritons, A=Animators Palette, P=Parrot Cay for example, TAPP. It will also show your table number and dining time. Because you have REAS booked, you might want to call Debbie. She's the dining manager at DCL and might be able to take a request for a specific rotation, then you'd know which restaurant you had on which night. Some people do whats called "double dipping". They'll reserve Palo around their scheduled rotational dining time. That way you can still sit down with your family and enjoy the atmosphere of whichever restaurant you have that night. Instead of eating a meal, just order an appetizer to hold you over until your Palo reservation. As an FYI, you can still enjoy Parrot Cay and Tritons for breakfast or lunch if you decide to skip a dinner there.

Because of the new on line system available to all passengers, you may have very limited choices if you wait until boarding. That's one of the benefits that you're paying for with REAS, the ability to book before the general public.

The spa tends to be more busy on the sea day. If you are not going ashore while docked at Nassau, I think that's a great time to book a treatment.

Called Disney today and got frustrated, the reservations website's down and they "refused" to make any reservations for me over the phone. They insisted that the only way you cna make reservations is via the web site. Go figure! Is there a number for Debbie? I want to get the reservations in so I can "relax" when we board. This vacation is meant to "relax" not stress us out. :confused3

Here is Debbie's direct number 407-566-7411. It's my understanding that the REAS portion of your cruise is now being handled by someone named Amy. I'm sure between the two of them, you'll be able to figure out what's best.

Thanks Tammi, got a hold of Debbie and she too has adivised me to go to the web site.......is it something I said? According to another person on the Cruise Line help line, if you're using Disney Vacation Club points you have to jump through a few additional hoops than if you were paying in cash for the cruise. Guess it doesn't really pay to have DVC ownership.....will try again in AM to log in on the web site and attempt to make my reservations. Debbie was great, she offered to help out if I couldn't get my reservations. Thanks again.....I'll try to keep an open mind .......
