Question about 2008 cruise

When I cruised last summer I wanted to book a cruise for 2008. I was told these dates were not out as of then. So they gave me a date for 2007 knowing I would be rescheduling for summer 2008. I received the onboard credit and the 10% discount. I might be interested in the Eastern repo in 2008, it depends on the price. I put a request into Dreams Unlimited for a price quote. Do I need to tell them before I get the price quote that I want to move my 2007 reservation to the 2008 or can I wait until I get a price quote? Will I still get on the onboard credit and the 10% discount? Thank you.

I would pose this question to a DU rep.

We had this very same problem in '04 for the '05 Calif cruises. There was some discussion between DU and DCL because there were a number of us who had booked while onboard and then wanted to switch to the '05 CA cruises before transferrring the existing ressie to DU. As I remember, DCL would not allow the 10% and credit, but DU honored the 10% and onboard credit in their price quotes. DU could not have handled any better.
