Question a bout booking window

Say you want to book a trip for 03/01/36 - 03/10/36. Would you be able to book the trip when 03/01/36 hits the 11 month window or would you have to wait until the last day of your trip 03/10/36 hits the 11 month window?

It's the first night but you can only book up to a maximum of 7 nights at that point. So you could book 03/01/36-03/08/36 on that date. After that, you would have to wait until the remaining nights are within your 11-month-plus-7-nights window to book the last two nights by modifying the reservation.

Ahhh.... So this is why I see people talking about "walking reservations" I assume.
