QUESTION 3: Attractions/Rides with a 10-month old

Now that our trip is just 2 weeks away I'm full of questions about travelling with our baby.

What do you consider "DON'T MISS" attractions/rides with a 10-month old? And what do you think are the "SKIP 'EMs"?

DH and I have been to WDW lots of times but never with a baby. I know the obvious - rides with height restrictions are out for the baby. But what in your experience were hits/misses with little ones?

We went with DS when he was a week shy of his first birthday, so a little older than 10 months. The things he liked:

Cinderella's Carousel
The Jungle Cruise
The Riverboat -- or for that matter, ANY boat
The Monorail -- or for that matter, any sort of train
Wishes -- we watched it eery night from our balcony at the Contemporary
Character dining -- he really "lit up" at the Princess Breakfast in Norway. Mulan gave him a kiss on his forehead like no other and he just BEAMED!! Then Aurora planted a kiss on his cheek and he giggled. Then Belle came by and kissed his other cheek and he just laughed hysterically! It was one of our best memories of the trip! We also did Chef Mickey's (ok, but not great) and Crystal Palace lunch (amazing!) and DS seemed so very happy.
People watching -- taking breaks was an opportunity to people watch. He had a great time just watching people walk through the Rose Garden by Cinderella' Castle. He seemed to really like the Mickey Bars (started him on that addiction early ) and the Dole Whips. He liked to watch the "magic fountains" at Epcot. All in all, he just seemed happy to see everything around him.

DS was 11 months old and went on anything he could sit on my lap. He didn't like any of the 3-D shows- the loud noises scared him.

He LOVED the toddler playground in ToonTown and I hear there's a new one across from the Pooh ride.

Since my son was crawling and on the verge of walking, I made sure to let him out of his stroller and find areas for him to venture around. The playground in ToonTown was great since it's for toddlers, and it's semi-enclosed.

He also loved to crawl on our patio at the Poly, walk around the baby centers (when they we're too crowded. He had a ball in the playroom of Epcots Baby Center He had the place to himself!)

It's easy to keep them in the stroller all day and night, but they need to get out and stretch their legs. Find a nice quiet safe spot, grab a snack and let them explore.

It's a Small World was DS's fave at 18 months
Country Bear Jamboree was DD's fave at 13 months

Both kids liked character meals with Pooh.

When we went in April DS (9mos at the time) LOVED small world. I have great pictures of him just staring at everything. He was fine with everything else...he's not one who is bothered by noise.

We took DGD at 11 months and again at 16 months. We took her on everything without a height restriction and she loved it all. Pooh seemed to be her very favorite ride, followed by IASW. Her all time favorite thing to do, though, was playing in the fountains at Epcot. We have tons of pictures of her thoroughly enjoying herself from both trips.

Ours went on everything without a height restriction too. Liked all of the "boat" rides. Pirates, Small World, Maelstrom, etc. He did not like the Ellen's Energy thing at Epcot. The movie was way too loud and looooong.
