Query re Universal Annual Passes

Does anybody know if you can just turn up at Universal parks and purchase an annual pass and if this so, does this cost more or the same as if you order it from there web site.

I ordered mine online and just collected it there. Would think its the same price to purchase at the Gate, otherwise they would have 2 prices 1 for online and 1 for gate purchase

You can also buy a normal ticket (and get in quickly) then upgrade it during the day at guest services. This is what we've done twice now.
