Queenie's Trip to Disney - 9/30-10/8

I can't believe it's September already. DD started her 1st day of Kindergarten this week. WOW! What an experience for both of us. So far, so good. Today is her 1st full day. I'm so excited to hear all about it.

We've been sooooooooo busy w/ life that I haven't been able to do anything for our trip. I'm sure this means I will be scrambling at the last minute and I will probably end up forgetting something. I am still not finished w/ the Toy Story outfit. The snow white shirt got put on the back burner and I still have a ton of princess appliques that I have to do something with. Ugh.

This weekend my half-sister is getting married and we will be running back and forth. The drive is about 2.5 hrs. We were going to stay at the hotel, but I don't want to take $300 from our vacation money for the hotel. The wedding rate at the place she is getting married is $150 a night. That is more than what I am paying for POFQ. My DD is in the wedding so we have to be there the day before for rehearsal.

On the 19th our car club has it's annual car show. That is another big thing that I am getting ready for. We usually have about 320 cars about a little over 1,000 spectators. It's pretty big. Still have a lot of finishing touches for that. Hopefully everything will work out.

Well, lunch break is over! Back to work!

When I made my countdown calendar I could only fit July and August on the front and I put September on the back. Last night we realized that we forgot to turn it around (it's been crazy busy at my house lately w/ the start of Kindergarten, plus the wedding and a car show). DD was sooooooo impressed w/ the back. She colored all the pictures, but I put it together when she was sleeping. She is really starting to get excited. Anyhow, she was talking about being at Disney for her b-day and simply stated - "momma, I will be like the Queen at Disney and all the princesses will listen to me since it's my b-day!" Ha ha. She thinks she is the QUEEN going to Disney for her b-day. Well, in my eyes, she is the QUEEN. Anyhow, this is why I decided I must change the title of my pre-trip report.

I still can't believe that one month from today (almost to the time), my little Queen will be getting her white slipper for dessert at CRT for her b-day. I can't wait to see her eyes light up when she gets it. This is a surprise. I have a few other surprises up my sleeve for her. I just can't wait! WOW - my baby will be 5. How time flies?

Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend! We are off to my sisters wedding this weekend. I hope the weather holds out for her on Sunday! She's getting married outside. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks! The weather couldn't have been better and my sister couldn't have made a more beautiful bride! Gabby made the cutest little flower girl too! Will post pics later. I keep saying I'll post pics and I never do.

Okay, so I know I want to decorate our window, but I don't know how to decorate it. I am thinking I should go w/ a b-day theme since the trip is for Gabby's b-day, but what should I do????? I have some princess decorations left over from her 2nd b-day party. I will use those items for decorating in the room. I am just STUCK at what to use for window decorations and time is ticking away. I've been looking in the stores and I just can't seem to find anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?????

I was on the Disney web site the other day, purchasing some shirts for our trip and I found a cute Minnie Plush. She was wearing a b-day hat and holding a present. I ordered it right away for delivery to my work. I figured I would ship it a few days before we leave so it can be waiting in the room upon our arrival SURPRISE . I received a phone call the other day that Minnie was sold out! BUT, they had the same basic plush w/ Mickey instead! Back to happiness! I received it the other day and I couldn't have been happier w/ it. She is going to LOVE it!

Almost forgot.................I ordered our tickets yesterday for MNSSHP. I've been waiting and debating. Finally said, why not??? We've done MVMCP, so why not try it at Halloween. I think I just did it to see the Headless Horseman! I just hope we don't miss him. That would be my luck!

Now, my BIGGEST problem is dinner. I had ADR's for Biergarten, but that will have to be cancelled. I looked at the reservation system last night and I can't find anything for 10/7. UGH. Now what???? I don't like not having all my plans in place. This is what I get for waiting until the last minute! Never again!

SINGLE DIGIT DANCE...........9 DAYS LEFT!

Less than a week away. I came into work this morning and a co-worker asked - "Will you be in Disney at this time next week?" I quickly replied, "Yes, we'll be eating w/ our favorite friends at the Tusker House for breakfast drinking their yummy juice!!!!!!!!" I can't wait.

Now begins the day dreaming! Each day I will sit and say to myself.........What will I be doing at this time next week???? I try to guess where we'll be and which ride we'll be on! I love doing it! As a matter of fact.........next week at this time we'll probably be arguing about where to have lunch! Ha ha. I very rarely get ADR's for lunch. We usually do some type of counter service for lunch. Hmmmmmmmmm, maybe the flame tree barbeque for lunch. We'll see!
