I am going to QC in early October. Thinking Sat-Mon..is there enough to see there for 2 1/2 days? We are staying at the Chateau Frontenac..and I don't know Quebec City AT ALL!!!!
Since you are staying in Vieux Quebec anyways, it will take you at least a day to do the whole site. There is a waterfall/dame that you can take a tour of the facility then walk the bridge that goes over the falls, its called Parc de la Chute-Montmorency. That is a short drive from your hotel. The malls there are gorgeous, and huge.
There are tens of museums, the parliament, parks, historical sites... if you live west of Quebec city, you can even go to downtown Montreal and visit the biodome and gardens on your way out.
I'm sure the hotel will have more than enough pamphlets for you to browse and find more stuff to do.
you would need to cab it around town, not throughout the Old City.
I havent been in a few years so I dont know where the port is, but you should also look at the Plains d'Abraham historic tour and tours of the fort.
If you google Quebec City, you will find a travel website
Ahhhh---so this Hotel is not in the old city? Would we be better at another? Forgive my lack of knowledge about QBC...
Need to get the lay of the land!!
I appreciate the tips..will look online for sure!!!!
