Qualms about my ID for the flights

I'm flying to Orlando on April 28th and I'm worried about my ID...
I'm originally from Illinois and have moved to California. When I applied for a CA Drivers License, they punched a hole into my Illinois license (why, I do not know ). Well, I still haven't received my CA license and I'm starting to worry that if I don't receive it by the time I'm ready to go to WDW, TSA won't let me board the plane because there's a "hole" in my current license. I'm wondering if anyone has had to deal with this issue, and if it was a problem. I've read the TSA website and it says that you have to have some sort of photo ID in order to fly, but it doesn't say anything about a license being "altered" in any way.
I know this might be a stupid question, but you never can be too sure these days with airport security...

I wouldn't worry about it. You still have time to receive your new license.

Is the hole near a corner. You could put a key ring, with your car keys, through the hole.

My only concern would be if the hole is in an "important" part of the document. Your picture, name, DOB, license number, expiration date etc. The TSA may have some issues if it looks like the purpose of the hole is to hide something.

Do you have a temp CA license. I'd use my old license and tell the truth if asked.

Punching a hole in a license seems to be common practice. California is only one of many states who does this. It basically lets others know that you have applied for a license somewhere else. As long as your Illinois license has not yet expired you should be find using it for identification.

DO you have a passport? You can always use that.
