Hey everyone......can anyone recommend a good table service at Epcot other than Le Cellieur? We are looking for regular types of food I guess like steaks, ribs, chicken etc.

That just about excludes everything else... I can't think of another place that might have American-style ribs!

If you want regular food, I guess I would recommend Chefs De France. They have a steak and fries (frites they call them) entree and a rotisserie style 1/2 chicken entree. You can skip the frou-frou items like snails.

We've found Chefs de France and Rose and Crown to be of fairly high quality in comparison to other restaurants at Epcot, though Le Cellier is our favorite. Norway used to be a favorite as well, before the princesses.

By "regular" do you mean American? All of the restaurants in the World Showcase are pretty Americanized versions of their respective ethnic foods, and you can check the menus at Allearsnet.

I'd stay away from Teppanyaki, San Angel Inn, and Alfredo's. All of those are lower quality than what we can get out of Disney, and Teppanyaki isn't worth it compared to other Japanese steakhouses - bland, small portions.

I found Le Cellier to be just awful... probably why the original poster is avoiding it.

Teppanyaki is excellent. I disagree that it isn't worth it compared to those outside WDW. The sauces were perfection. Not bland at all. ... and I am known in my family for making a Japanese ginger dressing (that requires 2-days preparation :) ). Teppanyaki's was just as good as mine. My family says mine is better than Benihana's though!

But... if the poster wants regular, Teppanyaki ain't it.

Really? We've gone to Le Cellier at least 10 times now in the last two years and haven't had a bad experience yet.

And Teppanyaki doesn't compare to any of the Japanese steakhouses I've been to. It's one of the very very few at Disney that we won't return to, since we have no reason to. Kobe, Benihana, Arigato, Kan Pai, we've had much better meals at.

But it's a good thing there are so many restaurants to choose from, with all the differing opinions :)

How about Garden Grill?

It's rather presumptious to assume the OP is excluding LE Cellier because the food is bad. Perhaps they already have an ADR for it or ate there on a previous trip and wish to experience something new.

Just because *you* have a bad experience at a restaurant doesn't mean the restaurant on the whole is bad

For what you want in Epcot WS, I'd recommend Rose and Crown.

::MickeyMo Sorry, Le Cellier is our favorite! However, we also really like Teppanyaki and Alfredo's. Teppanyaki has been wonderful everytime we've gone (we go for lunch if that makes a difference) and we always get more food than we could possibly eat. Despite bad reviews, we love Alfredo's as well. All of our meals there have always been exceptional and the service has been great. Last time, the waiter helped us learn some Italian! We were never rushed or felt pushed out despite some other reports. I'd try for yourself and form your own opinion. ::MinnieMo

I'm not sure if this was aimed towards me, but I was replying to Brygida.

I would consider that the Benihana in Las Vegas (at the Hilton) had excellent quality food and was on par with Teppanyaki... but I still think I preferred Teppanyaki. The 2 Benihana's in Manhattan do not have such good food quality. I love Japanese Hibachi Table restaurants and try as many as I can find. Teppanyaki at EPCOT is THE best one I've been to in the USA.

Where are the other restaurants you've mentioned?

I didn't mean it *was* the reason... I suggested that as a possible reason... because I do not care for the quality of food there.

I don't NOT return to a restaurant if I had bad service, or a bad experience there. I don't return to a restaurant only if they had bad food (in my opinion).

hence why I said you were being presumptuous.

You are more than welcome to your opinion of having bad food there. Personally, the more people who hate Le Cellier the happier I am...more ADRs available for me!

I said it was a suggested reason... that is NOT presumptuous. I did not say it was there reason... that would be presumptuous.

No you said it was probably the reason which is presumptuous. It may or not be the reason but it's presumptuous.

Actually I took the "little face" to mean it was said somewhat humorously and I continue to choose to take it that way! ;)

Benihana at the Hilton at Disney and in West Palm, Kobe in Clearwater and Orlando, Kan Pai in Orlando, and Arigato in Tampa and Clearwater.

Honestly, though, location doesn't mean a thing. Just because the others are in New York or Vegas doesn't make them better or worse than in other locations. I've been to terrible restaurants in NYC and excellent restaurants in out of the way suburbs.

I've tried Benihana at the Hilton, Lake Buena Vista... and I still think Teppanyaki is far better.

I'm not sure what you mean about location not mattering? My point was that the same *chain* restaurant can be better/worse food quality at differing locations. Don't know why that would be... but I assume individual chefs can screw up sauces, etc... and the quality of the food used to make the entrees can differ too I guess.
