Anyone have any feedback on this hotel???

How far is the walk?

I found a cheap price of $46/night and wondered how it was for those who have stayed recently. We are coming in 3 weeks in May!:goodvibes TIA!

I have never stayed there but here is a link to a walk time comparison:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2639647&highlight=walk+times

It is quite close to the freeway so could be a little noisey. Also consider Hojos if you can get the ent rate, you have to walk past it to get to QI and the ent rate is $59...

If you don't mind this sort of walk also consider some of the Katella hotels, last trip we got a one bedroom suite for less than $90 incl tax during peak season...

I have stayed here twice. The first time I walked everytime the second time I used ART from HOJO just to save my feet at the end of the night. The walk is about 15-20 minutes at the end of a long day. In the morning I did the walk in about 10 minutes.

I never had a problem with noise but I always had a room facing the courtyard and not the freeway. I like the breakfast. Simple but free. The beds were good for me. The shower heads are LOW but I managed.

OP- Would you let us know what you think when you get back? There have been some yucky reviews in the past couple months on Trip Advisor. Just want to make sure it is still simple.. not gross!

smile4stamps- What is the easiest route from this hotel to DL? I heard there is a big wall around the property? I was thinking I could just cut through the parking lot next door and come out by the McDonalds? Any chance I have the right idea? :confused3

Thanks, guys! Love these boards!! :grouphug:

I have not found any shortcuts. I take the sidewalk along Manchester and then cross Harbor. Go down Harber till you reach DL.

I last stayed there in December and I would not qualify it as gross. The rooms were clean, I did not find anything strange anywhere or any bugs. The breakfast is suitable to get me going for a few hours every day.

I would definitly not pay Rack rate for this hotel since it is off the beaten track but the rate I got from Last Minute Travel was excellent. The rates on their website are definitly higher than I would pay.

I was looking at satellite maps. (yeah.. not an obcessive vacation planner AT ALL! :lmao:) It looks like you could exit the property to the right and cut by the dentist office up through the McDonalds parking lot. Or even cut through the Fairfield parking lot on the other side. It is hard to tell, though. You can't see walls on the maps!

I would offer to look for you but I am not planning to stay there my next visit. I'm going to splurge and stay on-site for half and then thinking about Red Lion through Last Minute Travel for about the same rate as QI. Only difference is no free breakfast at Red Lion.

Aw- thanks for even saying you'd check if things were different. Maybe someone else will happen along that knows. Or maybe it will be an adventure!! pirate:

I'm normally not much for "cheap" hotels... but I am all about the bargain. I had been hunting and hunting a great deal for months. I managed to snag this place for less than $300 for 6 nights (including their resort fee). It just seems a little too good to be true for Halloween walking distance to DL.

Only me.. I hunt and hunt to find the deal then doubt the deal!! Thanks for your responses. It really does set my mind at ease!

After our trip last December we nicknamed this hotel "The not so Quality Inn"
When we booked our air fare we ended up having an "extra" day in order to get the best rates and our hotel did not have a vacancy for our added night and we found a "great deal" on the QI so we booked it for the first night of our trip.

Water came out fo the bathroom faucet unclear and kinda brown until we ran it for about 5 minutes...I brushed my teeth with bottled water hey it was just one night right? When I went to take a shower I reached up to get a towel and grabbed a wet towel! once I pulled the towel down there was a brown stain on it like it had been leaked on. I wet on to a dry towel and once ready we headed for DTD.

Here is where the hotel lost all business they would ever get from me....I notified the front desk of the problems and the girl at the desk was the rudest little snot I have ever encountered. "Whatever the rest of the towels were dry right? Get over it" That is a direct quote. When I spoke with the manager the next day before we checked out she seemed not to care either about the fact that the room obviously needed maintenance or that her night staff was nothing short of uncaring and rude. Deal breaker for me if management does not care about hotel upkeep or staff attitude then I don't care to stay with them at any price.

Well.. ewww.

Hmm... I'm going to hold onto the reservation for now and see what else comes available. Thanks for another opinion!
