qShipping an ECV to Disney

Thinking of buying a 2nd hand one to use for Disney trips. Would save me
$ in the longrun. Has anyone shipped one or brought it on a plane? How do you go about shipping it? Will they instead gate check it? Will it go under the bus for Magical Express? Any first hand experience would be appreciated. Tx!

You take it with you to the airport and Gate Check it. Make sure it has gel or spillproof batteries. As it is a medical item it is not subject to baggage limitations.

I purchased one and took it on the plane. I got an inexpensive (well, fairly) one at Farm and Fleet and used it until we got to the plane. They then took it underneath and brought it up to me when we landed. This is the same thing they do for my daughter's w/c.
