This September I have a EMH morning at Hollywood Studios. If not doing a table service, what would you do for lunch? I know about the Studios QS reputation. Hop to EPCOT? Is there a QS place in the resorts along the ferry route that I should try? It's a solo trip.

If we do not do lunch at the Tune In Lounge (at the 50's Prime Time Cafe) we hit up something on Sunset Blvd. Fairfax Fare is usually pretty good for us. Also the Backlot Express has a lot of seating both inside & out that's always a good spot to hit up for a QS meal.

Also, we do the outside lounge area at Brown Derby as well. It's first come/first serve seating and they have small plate meals that are good. Good people watching spot as well. You can even see most of the Star Wars show that runs throughout the day as well. If you can sit against the wall, the sun is not directly on you either.

You can always just walk over to EPCOT from the Studios. It's only a good 20 minute stroll over to the International Gateway from the Studios. Or just stop off at any of the EPCOT area resorts.

We do nto leave DHS for lunch so if we do nto book a TS meal we generally go to the Backlot Express. The seating in ample, and we have had the added pleasure of watching the Jedi Training as it is going on.

The food is pretty good too. DH is usually craving a burger by the time we hit DHS, so we get them a lot. I think they are decent as far as a fast casual burger can be.

We also really enjoyed the one near Jedi Training, Backlot Express. Lots of good options, and fun Star Wars themed food if desired.

we do backlot express all the time at HS. plenty of seating inside and out. good food options and you can get refills on your drink which is a big plus if you want more to drink.

Fairfax Fare, hands down. Chicken, spare ribs, pork sandwich, plus other things (that's what we've tried). Big portions and when we eat here, I have to make sure we have about an hour before we do anything after so we aren't rushed to eat. I see you are on a solo trip so you might want to pack a zipper type bag for leftovers. Or, just plan to sit and enjoy for a while.

The only "bad thing" is the seating area is shared by several other places so it can get crowded. Since you are a solo diner, you can do what my husband and I do - just ask a family with an empty bench if you can join them. Most will be very willing.
