QS Dining without ticket purchase?

We arrive at POP on Sunday. 3 of us purchased 6 day parker hoppers and had a pin for the free QS dining plan.
Last minute, we're brining a friend of my DD. She has an annual pass so does not need tickets.
Will she still get the free dining because she is staying in the room or do we need to buy her a QS dining plan?
If she does not qualify for the free QS plan, would it be worth it for her to pay OOP instead?

You can only get FREE dining with a pkg that includes tickets, so I'm pretty sure she cannot get free dining unless she wants to also buy the 2-day ticket minimum. That ticket can be saved for use later as a ticket or toward her AP renewal. It might be worth it to her to get the free dining.

I think AP holders can BUY the dining plan, but don't know how to go about doing that. At this late date, it will probably be easiest just for her to pay OOP for her meals. She won't save/lose that much by buying the QSDP. Without some careful planning, it is difficult to save with that plan.

Since she is the AP holder, and she did not book the room, she will have to buy the same tickets as you when you add her to your reservation, if you add her ahead of time.

AP holders can book a ticketless package - but THEY have to book it in their name. Don't know how old she is, but if she is a minor, she could not book a room in her name anyway.

To avoid having to buy her tickets, you would have to add her to your room reservation AFTER you have checked in. She would not have the dining plan, so her meals would be OOP. I agree, she does not need the quick service dining plan. It is difficult to make that plan save money. She can buy her own meals when you stop to eat. I think the biggest loss she would have is that she would not have a refillable mug unless she purchases one.

To get FREE dining, all of you must purchase tickets, even if you already have an annual pass. The current minimum is at least 2 day tickets per person.

For the friend to get the Dining Plan, everyone would have to change the ticket purchase to two day tickets, then the original group would upgrade to six days after arrival and the friend could hold her ticket to apply to the AP renewal. This close, there would be a change fee.

Can't just add the friend without any DP or purchase it for her - everyone in the room has to be on the same package/same features.
