We have never eaten here but looking at the menu we're thinking about trying it for dinner. How does it work? Do you order then sit down and a server brings you your food? Do you need to tip? I thought that I had read somewhere that they charge an extra 10% to cover the server. Where/When do you pay?

It's like any other QS at hotels. There are just different stations with different options. When you order you need to wait near your station till they call your number and then you pay at the cashier before you bringing your food to your table.

Which is not what the restaurant description says, which is the exact opposite of normal food courts

Spacious Food Court with an outdoor market feel. After you're seated you're given a ticket that you bring to the food station that you're interested in. The server marks the ticket to indicate what was purchased. When you've finished your meal, you bring your ticket to the check out and pay for it. Each food station resembles a colorful market booth. There are nine to choose from.

The first time we ate there years ago (@ least 10) you ordered, ate then paid at the end with the tip added. But the last time we went in June 2016, it was like all the other WDW counter services, went to the station, ordered what you wanted and paid (no tip added) then sat down and ate.

We ate there several times, I really enjoyed it.

That's super outdated. It works like a normal food court now.

Same food court as all the rest for several years now, registers were moved from exit to food area. It's just prettier and the food served is better than many places. You go to the food stations (sadly not as many as there used to be) order your food, wait, they hand it to you, when you have everything you proceed to the cashier to pay then go find a seat. The drink stations are out by the tables.

A burger/fries at a value is a definite step down from the burger/fries here. The meals are better, good portions and plated nicer. Really good value for your QSDP credits. We would drive there to eat a few times even if not staying there.

Here is the checkout just past the food stations (to right) before you enter dining area. . (PHOTO: Archer Travel):

Love this place! So sunny and cheerful. We stayed in a more expensive hotel this time (AKL) but much preferred Pepper Market to the QS option there.

As others have said, the paying at the end has changed to paying before being seated like other QS locations. The food quality is good and we've been pleasantly surprised by it.
