QS at Hollywood Studios

I've just been catching up on some Disney food blogs and I'm struggling to find somewhere that's recommended for QS eating in Hollywood Studios.
Do you have somewhere you like to eat in DHS?
What's your favourite item on the menu?
Where do your children like to eat there?
Thank you!

DHS is in desperate need for better QS options, IMHO. We liked Backlot Express the best I think. They had a chicken and waffles meal that was decent and I liked the caprese sandwich. My kids really enjoyed Pizze Rizzo, although the pizza isn't the greatest (pretty much the same as when it was Pizza Planet). We usually don't eat QS there that much because of lack of good QS choices. When we do, we usually go to Sci Fi, which is table service. I hope the remodel improves the dining situation.

Check out the menus, maybe you'll find something that appeals to you. Disney's site or allears.net lists all of them.

We have always enjoyed Backlot Express, it's tucked away and never crowded. Our go to place is the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge, which is outside the restaurant. I don't think it's quick service but we love the Cobb Salad and my son likes the sliders.

I had thought Backlot Express looked OK and printed off the menu for my file ages ago - then read some negative reviews and had a wobble about my choice!

I second the Brown Derby Lounge. If you don't have a big eater it's not that much more than a lot of the QS and the food is much, much better. That said, if I were to go with the big meat eating men in my family the bill would skyrocket. With them along, we find Sci Fi to offer the best all around value. It's worth the upcharge from QS to me.

That said, I'll need to use a QS credit at DHS next week and plan on the caprese sandwich Backlot Express. I would never pay OOP there though.

Pizza Rizzo/Planet. Nearly every single time we've been there. I did get the kids to try Backlot Express when Pizza Planet was out of commission. They said it was fine but wanted to go back to Pizza Planet/Rizzo. I happened to try Studio Catering and ABC Comissary on adult trips. I liked the selection at STUDIO catering, but it is no longer there.

I recently watched a review of QS in HS (on allears) and one of them had Backlot as her favorite QS. We plan to try it this trip. We usually do ABC Commissary. My DH likes the salmon and broccoli they offer.

We have always enjoyed Backlot Express. Last year we had the chicken sandwich at ABC Commissary and that was enjoyable too. I am still grieving over Starring Rolls though
