1. Referring to this statement in the brochure:
"The Disney Deluxe Dining Plan is unavailable for Guests under the
age of 3, but they may share from an adult plate at no charge, or a
meal may be purchased from the menu. The price of the meal will
be added to your bill."

Does this mean I can't physically have or make a plate for my child under 3? For ex, at a buffet, I can't even grab a plate with a few items for him? And for non-buffet locations, he just needs to eat off my plate? I don't plan to order anything for him but would like him to have his own plate at least. Just wanted to clarify.

2. If the meal includes appetizer, entree, desert and non-alc drink... even if I don't order one of those items, I would still be charged the full meal comp? I checked some menus and some restaurants don't have desert or at least not on their menu. Just wondering how that works.

3. When we settle bill or pay at cashier at quick service locations, do we need to tell them what goes with what and charge x # of comp meals to plan? Or do they figure it out?

They will bring your child an empty plate at TS for you to share with, and they are allowed to eat at all buffets.

Yes, you will be charged the full meal comp no matter what you order.

Just tell the cashier/order CM that you are on the DxDDP and they will help you out.

1) Note that even when not on the dining plan, children under 3 eat free at buffets, family-style, dinner shows, etc. There is no problem getting these children their own plate/drink, etc., at these locations.

You can always "share off the same plate" with young children at other locations, but most places will bring you a separate empty plate if you ask. Some will even bring out a small plate of buttered noodles or the like, but best to not rely on that.

2) When you use a meal credit, you use a meal credit. It's not severable into "drink", "appetizer", "entree", and/or "dessert" portions. I can't believe there is a DDP-participating restaurant (other than possibly a rare QS location, such as Toluca Turkey Legs) that doesn't have dessert; it just might not be listed on the online menus.

3) As noted above, you will be charged one meal credit per meal ordered. If there is a mix of credit-purchased and out-of-pocket-purchased items, you will need to specify which are which (and it will be rung up as two transactions).

All TS restaurants have dessert. There are a couple of CS that don't offer a dessert, most of them will allow substitution of a bag of chips or something like that.

Appetizers and desserts are not included with breakfast, either CS or TS.
