Went to the grand opening of the new DVC lounge in Disneyland, Star View Station. They actually scanned the QR code on the back of my card in my Apple Wallet, and didn’t even look for DVC-Y. Is this the first use we know of the QR code anywhere?

Seems like it does/will serve a purpose and will make Membership Extras a bit more controllable.

I can’t put a digital card on my phone because we don’t use FaceID. Are there other options? I have always shown my membership in the profile section of My Disney Experience. Will that no longer work for the Member Lounge? We are direct owners. Thanks!

They want the digital card that shows the DVC Y…the notation in membership and passes doesn’t have the new codes so many won’t take it.

There is a way to print out a temporary card via the website…but if the lounge or places begin to require you to have the QR code, you will need to add a passcode to your phone And out in Wallet

Sounds like they are expecting everyone to move to the wallet. I'm sure it's a matter of time before the other lounges and experiences scan the code as well.

Face ID is a pain sometimes but now that I use the Wallet app (not just for DVC obviously but for a lot of things) I can't go back. I love the convenience.
