Since we are celebrating All Hallows Eve today my question to you is holiday related.

What was your favorite costume growing up??

What are you, your spouse, and your children dressing as this year?

My favorite costume was Wonder Woman, I was in 4th or 5th grade. My costume rocked!!! I wish I had pics.

This year DS11 is going as a Knight Ranger from one of his books, DS7 is going as a red ninja, DS6 is going as Zorro, and DD1 is going as an angel. We usually have great costumes but they decided at the last minute to go trick or treating so mom didn't have time to make anything.

My favorite costumes for them would have to be the chimney sweeps we made for MNSSHP. They got so much attention! I'm trying to find a pic.

OOOOO, I had Wonder Woman Underroo's (however you spell that!). I had the pleasure of my older brothers dress me up. It usually involved one of their soccer shirts with a pillow stuffed up the shirt! :lmao:

DD is Violet from the Incredibles tonight and I think it will be cool enough for DS to wear his Buzz Lightyear costume! :thumbsup2 DH and I are dressing up as parents. :lmao:

1. My mom made me a Wonder Woman custome one year..but my all time favorite custome was the "Little House on the Prairie" custome my Granny made me.. I'll have to scan the photo in.. had the bonnet and all...

2. Me.. I'm going as mom! DD14(now) is going as a 50's girl, DS11 is staying home; he doesn't like to dress up, DS7 is going as Linus from the Peanuts.. DH is going as a "I left my family for the week to work so I'm dirt!" (*JK DH!)

I used to make my own costumes and I frequently went as a gypsy, wearing my grandmother's old clothes and costume jewelry.

I made most of my kids' costumes over the years - and I was most proud of their princess dresses when they were much, much smaller.

I haven't dressed up in years but my last costume when I went to a party for daughter's GS troop was, again, back to the gypsy costume.

Well, if the weather clears up (which I highly doubt) my DD is wearing a her own creation of a devil from old costume parts and my DS is going as a cereal killer, again home made. Othereise we will be trick or treating throughout the house, going from room to room in our pajamas.:)

Close, I actually made a stripped prison shirt and did the cereal boxes and knife. :)

My DH has on the prison shirt with a ball and chain and I made a large business card that said: Larry Fine - Auditor, Dewey, Cheatam and Howe. Client list: Enron, Worldcom, TYCO... (Serious, accounting humor), but his costume was a hit in his office!:confused3

Growing up we were always gypsies or hobos, depending upon my mom's mood that year.

This year my boys were a pirate & knight.

The year we went as John Deere only farmers was a good one. Don't have that one scanned in yet, but it was cute.

Auditor, Dewey, Cheatam and Howe.

My Dad used to answer the phone with that.
Or "City Morgue, you stab'em we slab'em"
"City Morgue, you ice'em we dice'em"

There are more, but I can't remember them all now. My friends used to hope my Dad would answer just hear what he would say. :rotfl:

PSSSST

I hate this holiday, just so ya know.

My kids are monsters!!! And not the cute, cuddly Sesame Street kind either.......

:tiptoe: slinking back into the shadows, maybe they won't find me and I don't have to go..........

Ahhh if only it were that easy. Kids have a Mommy Homing Device. They can find us anywhere no matter where we are when they want to.

Isn't that the truth?
I can't go anywhere without them finding me. I even tried to hide in the barn with cats once and out they came to get me.

no kiddin! They have radar for when you even venture close to the bathroom! Good gravy, forget even shutting the door and not expecting a knock asking what you are doing????
