What do you collect? Anything fun, unusual, disney or non? What can't you resist when you find "one"? And what started you collecting ???

I grew up in a house with a mother and a grandmother who collected TONS of stuff and it kind of overtook the house sometimes, so I don't like to collect stuff just for the sake of collecting. I do have a few Disney collections though - Disney Mr Potato Head parts being the main one. I try to get every new part they have on each trip. Right now they're in my closet though. I had a Potato Head family on top of my computer desk, but my cat liked to do a neat display of kitty bowling with them and just could not leave them alone. I've got to figure out some way to put them out where he can't reach.

I suppose I also collect Eeyore stuff - espeically stuffed animals. And I still have my collection of Disney stuffed animals from when I was little that I've gradually added to over the years.

Oh, and scrapbooking supplies, of course. ;) Those DO take over my house, but at least they have a purpose!

Disney pins. I trade but I have a cork board of the ones I keep. I also collect Red Sox and Patriot players McFarlane figures.

I suppose to be technical, I collect scrappin supplies too

I hate clutter. Although you would never know that to look at my house. :rotfl2:
So I don't collect knick-knacky things. Can't stand the thought of having to dust around them.
That said, we do collect Disney Pins. It's almost an addiction for me. I really have to make the effort to stay off Ebay for those things.
And we collect Halo figures. I need to take a photo of my basement shelves. They are packed with those things. And they are packed with dust. :lmao:

Scrapping supplies here! There really isn't anything else specifically that I collect unless you count dust!! :lmao:

I collect bookmarks. don't know why, it just sort of happened.
Oh and feathers, we have a vase filled with hawk and turkey feathers.
I kind of collect dolls, I have quite the variety of barbies and American Girl dolls but, they are all boxed up and I might sell the barbies. I just really have no need for them.
DH says I collect children. LOL You would have believed it yesterday, I had 9 kids running around the house all day.

DH collects books! He could open up a book store or a library.

The kids collect rocks and bottle caps, I hate bottle caps so I toss those when ever I get a chance.

The house collects paper. I swear paper is evil and breeds!!!! It's everywhere, and this place is so small that 1 piece of paper left out makes the house look messy.

I think that's about it, I'm not really a saver, my family members are all pack rats and it drove me nuts so I tend to toss things when ever possible.

My family has a collector gene that I've struggled to control. Since I married a man who's goal is to make the house a clutter-free zone, I've done much better.

I do collect teapots of all kinds but specifically Hall pottery and I collect old children's books and British Fiction from the 40s & 50s. I have disney figurines in my scraproom with a definite focus on Winnie the Pooh.

I also consider myself an accumulater of books, scrapbook supplies, beads, and various other "things", probably including dust!

Lets see I collect scrapbooking supplies which is by far my largest collection. Other things I collect are Dept 56 snow village but I only buy what I like I don't just buy to buy, same goes for my disney snow globes I have a handful of ones I really like. I also have a small collection of Swarovski pieces. Oh DH would also says I collect Christmas ornaments. I love when the new Hallmark ones come out each year and have to buy all the pretty ones. LOL

I forgot I collect bird nests too. When we brushed our dog we had to do it outside so the birds would make nests with his hair so I have a bunch of those.

I collect seal figurines but I don't pick up every one I see but I have about 100 of them from my childhood on, I also collect things with hearts because of my middle name but I generally just select heart shapes on the things I need- like a canister set- I need the canisters for baking they just happen to have hearts. Both my DH and I colllect books, especially autographed ones.

I collect everything. With my Mom working at Disney she gets a lot of good deals, so a lot of our gifts are Disney.

I have these collections: Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty & the Beast, general Disneyland, pins and snowglobes.

DH has: Pluto, Rafiki, Haunted Mansion, Pirates.

DH also collects LEGO, and I have a small nutcracker collection, and a lot of Christmas decorations in general.

Hmm. Scrapbook collecting has become my latest passion (Specifically paper and cricut cartridges...ha!).

I also collect Disney pins-and never trade.

I have lots of books and dog toys...though one might argue that those are the DOG'S collection and not mine.

Mostly though, I collect hobbies. ;) I learn how to do something and then it loses its spark. Scrapbooking is one that's not lost it. So far crochet, knitting, doily making, paper folding, felt ornament making, sewing, quilting...the list goes on and on and on. ;)

I collect Disney pins, but I am not a trader. I only buy a few each trip. I used to collect magnets and matchbooks, but I am married to the King of the Packrats and I just can't collect anything else. His stuff takes over the house and I just can't add to the disarray.

i collect disney ron lees. but they have had a falling out of sorts because he no longer makes them for disney. which is kinda good because my curio cabinet is pretty much full.

i also collecting scrap stuff.

dh is anything car related collector. car parts, tools, engines,.....

and i do love the willow angels. i only have few. but they are really beautiful.

Aside from swaps, scrapbook stuff... beads... and other craft stuff... dust puppies... piles of laundry.... and I sooooo agree about the paper thing!!!

I collect Disney antenna toppers...I stick them on a chopstick, and have a vase full.

I also have a wall of what my BFF calls "chochkies". Funny sayings, little things I've painted, stuff like that... I just bought one yesterday...

"Housework never killed anyone, but why take the chance"

Hmmm, that might be where the dust puppies come from :rolleyes1

I forgot that I also collect old/antique pins - you know the kind your grandma wore. I remembered as I pinned one on my jacket this am.

I honestly could collect more things if I had more money, more room, a more patient dh who collects nothing!

OMG! i love them. we call them "meme pins" at my house. (and i've never had a meme!!!! so i don't know why, but we do)
every year for my bday, dh and ds buy me a new one. i have them in a very old chest style jewelry box!

I have some that were my grandma's but I've also found quite a few at yard sales and flea markets. I never heard "meme" pins but it sound logical :)
