We are staying in a vacation rental home and I finally figured out what to do as frugally as possible for our family for 6 days and nights for meals. I've got all the meals except 1 brunch (first day we are there early flight) and 2 dinners in the Von's cart waiting for me to check out which I will do in about a week. Feels good! Here's my plan for Von's.

Yogurts/toast/fruit/cereal/breakfast sandwiches/Juice for breakfast all days except first.
Sandwiches/Lean Pockets or Pizza Pockets/Sun Chips/Pita Chips/fruit for lunches all days.

Dinners are Day 1- Stouffers Lasagna/Mac n cheese/Applesause....Day 2 Chicken Breast Fillets/Fries/Fruit or Grilled Chx Salad.....Day 3 Fridays are always Pizza day at our home so will order in Pizza (If anyone has good references for a good delivery pizza please let me know:)......Day 4 is whatever night/leftover night....Day 5 is BBQ ( House has a Gas Grill)...Day 6 is our one and only reservation at PCH Grill so I don't have to clean up. Also, ordering lots and lots of water bottles. Splurged on some popsicles and fun drinks but still way cheaper than eating out for all meals and drinks. I will be bringing snacks and laundry detergent in my luggage. Cheaper in Oregon than California. If I have any unopened food left when we leave I am going to find a family living in the neighborhood who would welcome it so it doesn't go to waste.
Ahhhhhhh.....feels good to have figured this out. Now on to packing.

Sounds tasty to me. Have fork will travel. I live in California, just call me when you are ready to pick me up. I will be the one sitting next to my car, wearing my Tinkerbell sweater, well unless it is too warm, then some of my pins instead on a different jacket.

~~~ Have a great, fun and safe drive and magical visit at the land and of Ca. ~~~
Seriously.... :) so here is my number ..... ;) one of these days someone will take me up on my offer. :) I am hoping for a cute single man, that loves horses, England, The Doors and owns a red Ferrari.
Would love to drive down to Anaheim in a beautiful red Ferrari. Must be a convertible of course.
Day 3 Fridays are always Pizza day at our home so will order in Pizza (If anyone has good references for a good delivery pizza please let me know:)......
I am not sure if you have a car or not but 9 minutes from Disneyland is Costco in Fullerton you can call and order pizza $9.99 for a cheese, pepperoni, supreme or we ask for pepperoni and sausage. What is great about this location is there foodcourt is outside so no need for a Costco card unless you plan to go inside and shop of course. Plus if someone what's a salad, hot dog, churro or Mmmm the yogurt :) you have the choice to and it won't break the bank. http://www.costco.com/Warehouse/WarehouseDetails.aspx?WarehouseNumber=418
Sounds like a good plan! We're going to be ordering from Von's for the first time this trip too since we have our Villa kitchen (last couple of years a friend drove from NorCal so we had a car to do grocery runs to Costco but this year we're going carless [mostly!]). Have heard good things about their delivery service.
Did you happen to notice how far in advance one can order? Wondering whether I should put our order in before I leave home 2 weeks before the Villa stay, or mid-way through my trip about 4 days before we check in (will be out of the country/on a cruise in between those choices). I'd love to put the order in before we ever step on the first plane so I can just relax and enjoy the rest of the trip, but will they let you put the order in that far ahead of time? Not worried about last minute items as worst-case-scenario our friends in the 2nd bedroom will be driving from the Santa Barbara area (and there's always the option of a cheap cab to Target if they're too tired to drive).
No such thing as a cheap cab anywhere, that I can tell in So Ca. The way I remember it, all cabs in the Anaheim area are $2.95 the first 1/4 mile then goes up from there. So pretty much the moment that one enters said cab...... cha ching........ but then gasoline is still not a pretty picture regarding cost per gallon. Now if you are sharing a cab, then yes, a much better deal for everyone.
