Hello! Can anyone tell me which week would be better crowd-wise - Nov 17 - 22 or Dec 1 - 6? I am aware that if we go with Nov. that the holiday show/parades/etc. will not be in full swing until the 21st. Also, we have been before and have already learned to do most touring on weekdays!

I have also read from previous posts that the CM staff parties this year are on the second week in Dec - do the parties make any difference to crowds?

We went the first week in Dec last year and found it was quite busy even just to walk around, even on the weekdays (DL more so than DCA). Not sure if it was the right after Thanksgiving thing or the CM parties that week or if we just went in early Feb too many times and got spoiled :) ... Anyway, thought we might consider a different week this time.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

go dec 1st the cast partys and stuff dont seem to be till the 7th i guess from what i heard
we were there nov 26-dec 1st or something like that it was grate but i wouldnt go nov 16th becouse not sure christmas stuff would be up in time. right after thanksgiving seemed perfect no crowds

The candlelight processions are held the first weekend of December, which brings quite a crowd increase in my opinion. Just something to keep in mind!

last year it was on dec 1st and man i hated it but i didnt realy see the crouds till that night when i got lost in the croud couse my son just had to have something with fantasmic on it lol
(cd dvd at store on main street)

I wasn't aware of that Candlelight Procession! Maybe that was the problem with our first couple days last year. I think I might try the week before Thanksgiving then. We can still see the holdiay parade if we come back on the weekend...

Thanks for your input!!!

Hey, P&PMom, we will be there November 9-23! We will be with some friends the first week we are there and then have another week to just our family. Like you, we are hoping the crowds won't be too bad. From what I have read your dates sound like they should be pretty good.

We went a couple years back on the first week of December but it didn't work for me because when we got home Christmas came and went before I really had time to enjoy it! So, by going earlier, I am hoping to take in much of the holiday season by going in November and return home full of the Christmas spirit!

Have a great trip! Maybe we will see you there!

I had forgotten about the Christmas rush when we got home - it did seem like we practically missed Christmas... Another reason to go a little earlier!

Enjoy your trip too!
