Hi!

We'll be at DW from 12/9 - 12/14 and want to do MVMCP. For those who have been before, is there a big difference in the crowds on the days when MVMCP is scheduled vs. days when there is no party at night? We have parkhopper passes, so I'm debating whether it would be better to do a full day of MK on a day when there's no MVMCP and then go to MVMCP on a separate night (maybe do AK during the day).

TIA!!!

It tends to get more crowded after lunchime on party days. About 4:00 is when the park just swells with people. Since you can get in with just your party ticket, and don't have to use up a 'park day' on your pass, a lot of people head over to MK then. When you add up those people, with those already in the park, it can get crowded.
If I'm heading to a party in MK, I tend to head to a different park earlier in the day, then go back to my resort for a rest and a bite to eat, then get to MK around 5ish.

We will be leaving the day you arrive!

Our kids will be 6 and 2 when we are there. We plan on laying low that day. Maybe a character breakfast somewhere, maybe not. Some miniature golf and a good long late nap.

I am waiting patiently to make my ADRs... and we plan on an early dinner at Chef Mickey's (my ds will be turning two that day) and then we will make our way over to MVMCP afterwards.

We want the kids to be happy and have a good time and if we do a park all day... that ain't gonna happen!

We decided yesterday to go to MVMCP since we found out it is starting Nov 12th! I am hoping with it being the beginning of MVMCP that the crowds won't be too bad yet.

So you don't have to use a seperate ticket to get in? You can use just your MVMCP ticket? Can you get in anytime during the day with your MVMCP ticket? I did not know this.

You can only get in after 4:00pm with just the MVMCP ticket. If you want to go before 4:00, you need to have a regular park ticket.

Since we could get into MVMCP at four, we didn't really think it was worthwhile to use up a apark day to just go from 9- 3pm. But we still think of the value of a ticket day as about $50. If you're thinking of a one day pass it's higher, but if you're going from a six to a 7 day ticket, it's only a few extra dollars, so it depends how you think of the value of a ticket day.

IfI was going to go to a park for the day. I'd pick a different one, but again we chose not to.

Generally, I'll add, we're park commandos, but we saw this as a way to incorpporate other acitivites into the day. DTD, off-property shopping, swimming at the pool without feeling guilty, RELAXING!, hainging out by the pool, checking out the resort, and other resorts. There's lots of fune ways to spend the dday without blowing a day in the parks - unless your trip is short and you feel yo uneed tha day to see everything you want to see- like if your total trip is only four days long.
