Recent Magic cruisers, what time have CMs been taking Palo reservations?....We will be waiting on line to board, getting to port about 11 am....was wondering if, upon boarding, I should go directly to make Palo reservations - or, should I first go to Parrot Cay for lunch?...we are cruising this Saturday, May 7....we are looking for Tuesday 830 Palo res...and it is important for our plans that we get this res.....

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated

Even though I haven't cruised since last year, I would advise to go directly to book the Palo ressies, then to lunch. Lunch at Parrot Cay will be available after you book your ressies, but you can't guarantee the Palo times will be available after lunch. :earsgirl:

I was thinking though if they start taking Palo reservations as late as perhaps 130 (???), that could be an awfully long time to wait....especially if we board as early as 1145 as I've been reading.....

I don't know if the Magic is different than the Wonder but last week on the Wonder they were suppose to start taking reservation around 1:00. I went to lunch and head down about 12:30. I was the first person there. It was about 10 minutes later before the next person showed. Happily they opened the doors early at 12:50. I went in to make reservation for brunch. Brunch on the Wonder was excellent but only 7 other tables were occupied. The place was empty.

Last cruise was September, but I went Straight to make the ressies, Then headed to meet up with DH and kids in Parrot Cay...I got the ressie we wanted, and met up in plenty of time to eat with them, and we were the first family after priorities, and concierge to board....

I do not know if that helps. IT just seems that you need that certain time...It really is not that long, they usually open up right away, and you will more than likely be one of the first...

:goodvibes

Yogi, if you don't mind me asking, where did you go on the Wonder to make the brunch ressies? I would love to go to the brunch, and want to make sure we can get in. The brunch is on sea day , correct?
Thanks,
Beth

When you check in at the port..the navigator will have the time listed that palo reservations are taken (and where).

When we were on the magic..reservations were open when we boarded.

When we were on the wonder..they didn't open up until after we ate.

So, just read the navigator after you check in and you will be good to go.

I'd go straight to the reservations site. We sailed on the Magic a few weeks ago. Our family couldn't have been any more than the tenth family to board when the doors opened. Rocking Bar D was already open and taking reservations.

Have a great cruise!

We sailed on the 4/23 Magic, and were surprised when we arrived at port a little after 12noon to see that the Navigator showed Palo reservations open at 11:30am :earseek: By the time we reached Rockin Bar D, shortly after 12:30pm, both sea nights (Monday and Thursday) were fully booked :confused3 . We ended up booking Saturday night (8:00pm) and while dining that evening, we requested another visit later in the week. They called us on Tuesday and invited us back for Wednesday (6:00pm, but hey beggars can't be choosy!).

On the 4 day Wonder they offer a brunch on the "at sea" day.
Enjoy

We were on the Wonder last week - the Navigators stated 1:00 but they actually started taking reservations about 5 minutes early. I was determined to get Wednesday night because it was our wedding anniversary. I guess we could have done brunch AND dinner . . . next time we're doing a 7-day so we'll try to do both.

On the March 19 Magic the start time for reservations listed in the Navigator was 12pm. We went to reserve after we boarded, probably 12:30 or a little after, at which point the room was essentially empty and every night still had most of the time slots available on the board.
