When someone purchases a contract directly from DVC
The DVC points package is assigned a contract number

Do these numbers have any special meaning to them

Example:

Does each Disney Vacation Club Resort
have a special starting number

Once a contract is resold on the resale market
Does the new buyer(s) get the same number

I don't know if each resort has a special starting number or prefix, as I just own at OKW. I think the OKW contracts are simply numbered in order of when the units were sold, so if you had contract #500, for example, you'd be the 500th DVC member. Contract numbers are also used as your "account number" for the accounting arm of DVC, the division that handles dues collection and load payments.

As far as resales, I think everything stays pretty much the same...folks buying resales and requesting a history of point usage have received the entire usage history of the points, every use, cancellation, banking number...everything.

Add on contracts have different subnumbers, so an original contract may be number 500, first add-on 500.001, second add-on 500.002 etc.
