Q about June

Hello there! I've been to DLR three times so far, once in May 2009 (the fri-sun before memorial day), then November 2010, then October 2011. I'm considering a trip this year, and thought going for my birthday could be fun.

My birthday is in June, and I was just curious how that would compare to the other times i've been there as far as crowds? I was looking at the 5th through the 7th, taking advantage of the Military Salute 3 day hoppers.

I'd really like to go, especially since my DB has never been. I just have this scene in my head of it being miserably crowded (like, shoulder to shoulder), stuck in a people jam getting a sunburn, lol. I'd hate to go thinking "oh, it won't be that bad" then my birthday trip isn't any fun because of crowds.

Early June may be a good time because the new cars land opens June 15th and I would think (Im not an expert though) that the crowds will start being much bigger after cars land opens. So in my thinking anyway early june should be ok as alot of people will want to wait until cars land opens before going. Thats my guess anyway. Im going last week in May so Im also hoping for a little smaller crowd. Im also going during the week and avoiding the weekends.

I think this is a good idea. A fun time to visit, with nice weather, and only medium crowds in a midweek when most kids are trying to finish school. Since you went in October before you've had a tast of big crowds at the party. It won't be like that the whole time, but it will be worse than your other two visits.

While there will still be some rehabs going on, hours and entertainment should be up to thier max.

Just be careful of two things. That information about Cars Land above is not official. What will happening regarding Cars Land is not known and it's a risk sudden crowds may show up. The other problem is the APs unblocked on the 5th, that day could get aweful. This is all just a gamble at this point as we don't know what will happen regarding Cars Land except that it is planned to open in June.

Disney hasn't put out any official opening date for Cars Land. We were planning on being in California the week of June 8, but have pushed our departure date back to June 19 in hope of getting to see the new Cars Land at some point on June 21, 22 and 23, as those are black out dates for annual pass holders.

Hoping some DL veterans will comment on those plans . . .. .

What do you mean, "a bit of a gamble?" That the Carsland wouldn't be open?
