I am sure this has been asked before but I can't find the answer. Is my 1 year old included on a dining plan? There are 4 of us going (me, my hubby, my 3 year old and my 1 year old). On the itinerary we've got from Disney it says (3) next to the dining plan but when I called them the lady said that my 1 year old can also order a kids meal. I am a bit confused...will he be able to order a kids meal or does he have to share our meals...my kiddo eats a lot :) Thanks for the asnwers!

Your 1 year old is not included on the plan. You can order a kids meal for him, but you will have to pay OOP for it.

At buffets and other fixed price locations (fully fixed price, not just locations with a fixed price menu section), he will be free and "usually" a drink is included with that. The "sharing from adult's plate" is not literal in the cases either, so you'll be able to make up his own plate here.

Even a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old who "eat a lot" will likely be able to split many of the kids' CS and TS offerings. As noted, at buffets/AYCE/family style places, your 1-year-old is free anyway, no need for a dining plan there.

Given my own experience, especially with a "paying" child, at most TS places the 1-year-old will get beverages for free. At CS, you may want to pay OOP or burn a snack credit for the extra drink.
