I now have reservations at three hotels. With the price being so different, what would you choose. This price is total including all taxes and resort fees all for a one bedroom suite room.
PVI $823
Embassy South $585
Homewood $485

I really thought being across from the parks would be great, but the nicer hotel, nice breakfast and huge difference in price is kind of leaning me towards the other two. Our kids will be 9 and 7, so napping is not necessary, however we will probably go back for a swim anyway as it's September so should still be hot?????
Any feedback would be great.

I would go with Embassy South. Great location with Target across the street and Bucca di Beppo in the parking lot, plus great breakfast. I have no problem using ART with older kids, it only becomes a pain when you have a stroller with sleeping kids. We've done mid-day breaks on that route (stayed at Hampton Inn next door) and we felt we didn't leave enough time for travel and a decent nap for a toddler, but it should be enough for travel and a swim.

If I choose to stay at Homewood or Embassy, I will be able to release the two queen and one sofa suite for someone in September!!! If someone is looking for that.

I have stayed at PVI (8 days in suite with kitchen, 2011 - 6 people)and Homewood (9 days 2010-5 people).
Homewood Nicer!!! Better rooms nicer pool, with better breakfast and better light meal eves Mon - Thurs.
Need ART to travel back and forth unless you have car. It stops in parking lot of next door hotel very close.
PVI 5 min to gate!, not as good breakfast or eve light meal. Rooms are OK but motel style and not as nice as Homewood.
If not for the location I would stay at Homewood again. We just didnt like having to use shuttle for all our transportation. If you stay at Homewood ask for 1st or second floor and walk the stairs. Elevator crazy busy and slow!

You can see my review of Embassy Suites South with pics in the link in my sig. That was from 2009. We loved it, but I wish I could pick it up and move it closer. We drove to the parks every day.

We now stay at Candy Cane Inn because it also has a free breakfast and is closer. The room is smaller but not a big problem for us when we get the deluxe room (a tad bigger than standard) even with two teen boys. Speaking of which, we still all go back for an afternoon nap. We are up at 5am every morning so we can all get ready for breakfast at 7am then walk over to be at the gates just before 8am. Going back for a nap really helps. That time we stayed at Embassy Suites we ended up leaving the parks at 9pm every night because we were so tired and it was too far to go back for a nap. Just something to think about.

Thanks pink budgie. The Candy Cane Inn doesn't have separate room suites, so it wasn't on my radar. Your review looks real good. I assume we will be going back midday for swim, but no naps. We don't mind the shuttle, but aren't sure how the new one will compare to ART. We also love a full hot breakfast so that's important. I just think the rate is too good to pass up at either ES or HW compared to PVI. That's alot of snacks in the park for the kids and souvenirs:)

We just got back today from Embassy Suites South. This was our 3 time staying there since July. We put DS on the pull out sofa and DD sleeps in the other bed in the bedroom with us. They don't use ART any more. It's PCA now so for the 4 of us (3 adult, 1 kid pass) is $13 per day so about $2 savings per day over when they used ART. The free breakfast is good and reception time from 5:30 to 7:30 $2.50 pizza slices and free alcohol.

Thank you emilym27:) Did you find PCA any better or any worse than ART? How was the $2.50 pizza for a snack? I am sort of leaning towards ES even over HW, but don't know why?
