I'm looking for some insight on the PVB sofa beds. Do they have the support bar going down the middle that can be felt while laying on it? Also, does the resort have foam/eggshell padding that can be put down? I doubt they do, but I wanted to ask. Assuming they do not, is it possible to ship a foam mattress to the resort?

Thanks!

Disney's sofa beds are completely different that any other sofa bed. They don't have that support beam, nor do they need it. I don't think a mattress topper would be necessary.

That's great. We are looking at a trip with my whole family and my mom and dad were worried about the comfort of those beds. Not all sofa beds are built alike. Sounds like Disney bought the better ones. Thank you for the info.

The sleeper sofas are three section pads on a platform. No bars or springs at all. But I thought the pad was a bit thin, so it was pretty firm.

It's the reason if we do a studio we only stay at OKW with two real queen beds. Our son can sleep on the sleeper sofa (but even he didn't like it all that much last time and swapped between the sleeper sofa and sleeper chair).

Personally, I don't think any sleeper sofas are comfortable - Disney or otherwise. Several years ago, I stayed at AKV - Jambo House and let my best friend have the regular bed. After the first night, I contacted housekeeping to see if they had any eggshell foam and they did. It helped a little, but don't count on them having it available.
