Hi everyone!!

Has anyone been able to put their powerpoint presentation onto a dvd-r? I am making one that i want to put onto a dvd because i am going to then record it onto a vhs tape(s), and have it waiting in my guests rooms so they can watch it sometime at their leisure before the wedding. it has pics of me and my fiance growing up and pics of us together. I do have the program nero but can't seem to figure out how to put .ppt files onto dvd through that program. Anyone have a program for this or could help me somehow? Any help is appreciated. I have been spending alot of time on this project and would like it to work out, ya know?

Thanks, you are all so wonderful!

Have A Disney Day!!!

My laptop has a video out and an Audio on it, I usually plug it straight into my VCR...

Sorry I can't be more help, You can try the Community Board, there are some people over there who are quite technical...

When you bought your DVD-R writer, did it come with any video editing software?

I use my mac for things like slideshows. It came with imovie and idvd. On idvd, I can create slideshows, choose the transition that i want, choose the music, etc. Also for my PC, when I bought my dvd-r writer, it came with similar user-friendly software that I can make slideshows for.

There are also free downloadable programs on the internet that lets you create your own slideshow and write it to CD-R, but that's probably not what you're looking for (google has a program called Picasso, I think, like this).

I probably wasn't very helpful, but thought I would throw that info out there just in case.

Good luck!!

Hi PrincessMo,

I had the same problem with powerpoint. I liked making the slideshows but was never able to get a song to play continuously throughout the show. I also couldn't get it to write to a dvd. I found a program called proshow gold. This had everything that I needed. I was able to make slideshows and add music to them. It lets you burn them to a dvd or cd-rom, email them or make a screen saver. I downloaded it from photodex . com They have a free trial version that you can download to see if it fits your needs. It's really easy to work with. Hope this helps.

Just a question but where were you planning to play it? The Disney rooms that Ive stayed in so far havent had the facility to play DVDs or videos unless I had brought along my own player. Youve probably already thought about this already and have a solution! :flower:
