Putting tickets on room key QUESTION

When i made my ressie (room only ressies) the other night, i asked the rep. if i could have my paper tickets purchased from the disney store, transferred to my room key. She told me NO. I was almost positive that i've read on here about others doing this very same thing. Does anyone know for sure ?? I would like to hear from someone who has done this very thing.

We did this last May with no problem. When we checked in at CBR, we asked the CM about it, and he transferred the paper tickets to the room key, no problem. And we had bought the tickets from a non-Disney source. You might call the resort you're going to be staying at, since they would be the ones doing it for you. I bet they will say they do it all the time.

It can be done but there are some restrictions.

You cannot combine multiple ticket purchases. That means if you purchased a package with tickets (as in free dining) and you bought another ticket at TDS, you cannot put the TDS ticket on the card.

Certain types of tickets cannot be put on ID's: AP/PAP/SP, certain complimentary tickets, FL resident, hard ticket events (MVMCP, MNSSHP, etc), tickets sold only for international sale, and some convention tickets are a partial list of the ones that cannot.

Thanks---I'm probably buying tickets from Undercover Tourist, just a regular MYW ticket. So you think this can be transferred ? I wonder why the rep. told me it couldn't be done.

1) Little known secret.
2) AP's can be put on room key.
3) Just ask the Concierge desk to do this.

We got our tickets from Undercover Tourist and had them put on our card last week. I loved only have one card to worry about!

We had them do this for us at the Contemporary in April, but all CM's don't know it can be done. We asked at the front desk and the first person said it can't be done, but another CM overheard the conversation, and said it could be done. He came over and showed the first person how to do it. It is possible that whoever you talked to just is not aware that it can be done.

Because the CMs who work in the call centers are not thouroughly trained on all ticket options and check-in procedures. Heck, the CMs who work the check-in desks aren't always fully trained, because Disney changes the policies once in a while and the CMs are not always re-trained when it happens.

Broker-bought tickets can be put on your room key.

Kind of on the same note- we have 5 days left on our Pop Century room keys from last year. We are staying WL this year. Can they put our tickets from our old Pop room keys onto the new room keys for WL? Has anyone done this recently? Thanks for the info

By putting your park tickets on the room key-- how will it work for fast passes?

We got our tickets from Undercover Tourist and had them put on our room key last month. For fast passes, you just slide your room key into the fast pass machine. Having only one card to deal with was great!! If you have any trouble at your hotel, see the concierge. That's we did at POR. Have a great time!
