Putting items out for bulk pick-up

We always try to get our items out early because someone will usually take them. Yesterday I put out an old shelving unit, patio umbrella, lawn chair, old toaster oven that worked (but I got a new smaller one) and old linoleum. Well the shelving unit, umbrella and lawn chair were taken within a few hours. What floored me was someone came by and cut the plug off the toaster oven, took the plug and left the toaster oven.
