Putting down payment on Disney Visa, interest free 6 mos?

I read one post saying that you can put your down payment to DVC on the Disney Visa and it qualifies for the 6 month 0% financing. Can anyone confirm that this is possible?

Yes it is true, up to I think $2500 or ten percent.

Just a note

if you use your card for any other purchases before the 6 month period ends & you don't want to carry a balance or owe interest on those purchase,

you must wait until the closing date of you statement each month then pay your balance minus the interest free portion,

otherwise they will deduct any payments you make from the interest free portion first.

My statement closing date is the 19th, so I pay mine online the next day. I had been paying every 2 weeks until I noticed the balance on the interest free portion was going down, so I called & that's when I found out I could end-up owing interest on my other purchases.

I could have wiped out 1/4 of last year's rewards dollars in one month.
