Putting a room request in at the Beach Club with a standard view booked?

So I have a standard room booked at the Beach Club for my birthday this year in June for one night before heading home and I am wondering if I should put in a room request or leave it be. When we stayed at the Yacht Club a few years back we had a standard room reserved as well. Well we received either a garden view room or a pool view room, because we were looking directly at a quiet pool.

I just wonder if I put in a room request that I might possibly get overlooked for an upgrade? There doesn't seem to be that many standard view rooms at the Beach Club so I just don't know. Regardless, even if I got one of the worst room views, locations there, I will still be at the Beach Club and that is something to celebrate!

I would put close to lobby. Those hallways are long!
I was thinking that as well. We had a long walk at the Yacht Club to our room in 2013. So I guess for just one night, (or maybe two) that would probably be the a nice request.

The majority of the standard view rooms are over the restaurants and other areas and are fairly close to the lobby. I like to request a nice view when I book a standard room. :) That way I might get an upgrade.

I would request close to lobby as well. I believe the rooms looking out to the front of the resort over lobby are standard view and I like to sit on the balcony and people watch! We had that view at YC.
