Seinfeld, love it so much, still watch reruns. The Office can’t compare, even if it sometimes tries to be about “nothing”. Friends is overrated and never watched Cheers much.

My problem with Seinfeld is that a lot of the funny dissipates once you realize that the main characters are simply The Worst. Which also describes David Brent. But he's just one person, as opposed to four.

The Office (US) is funny, but it's harder to watch than the other shows because Michael Scott is pathetic, and it's hard to have any sympathy for him.

Seinfield, tried watching once, gave up.
The Office, my kids watched, nothing there for me other than "that's what she said"
Cheers. Did watch a few, but my MIL was an alcoholic who hung out in a bar like that (and married the bartender). Found that show kind of a sad statement of life.
Friends, Never watched.

That was sort of the point, which is why I actually liked the finale where many fans didn't.

SPOILER: They go to jail for being self-centered and shallow by ignoring the good samaritan laws in a small town. It's the perfect ending for them!

Have to agree with Austin Tink on Frasier. We have just started watching it and it is so well written and acted. Definitely my top three. And I have to add Scrubs. We alternate watching The Office, Frasier and Scrubs but love Seinfeld as well.

it is the only one I've seen with any regularity. I didn't used to like it, but now I think it is mostly funny.
Cheers is not my cup of tea, but I loved Frasier.
Friends and The Office aren't funny to me at all.

My parents both told me that Seinfeld should be banned from television because the characters were so narcissistic. They absolutely are, and that is where the comedy comes from.

When Seinfeld was airing I worked in NYC and lived on Long Island. There is a reason that show was set in NYC.

I love NYC and it people, but my goodness. There is a Seinfeld crew in every bar.

But, to answer the OP's question, my favorite by far is Seinfeld. I like pretty much all comedy, so these all rate with me, but Seinfeld resonated with me at the time. I like it less now, but then, I literally cried tears of laughter with almost every episode.
