Overreaching based upon what observation exactly? If he was in fact pushed in the manner he suggests, it's assault by definition, plain and simple. He also has reason to believe it was intentional. Unacceptable anywhere, from anyone, but perhaps particularly disappointing as a guest of company who has a certain duty of care.
It's overreaching because the OP himself admitted he has no idea whether it was intentional or an accident because the OP was admittedly in the way. Perhaps the CM was tailing the parade, didn't see the OP in the way, and inadvertently ran into him. And perhaps that did tick off the CM which is why the "stare down" occurred after. The stare down could have just as likely happened whether the "push" was accidental or intentional. To make the jump to assault when the facts can't even be confirmed is extreme.
