I am having the hardest time finding a pushchair or stroller rental for my daughter. She is about 150 lbs. We used a very long jogging stroller last time, and it was next to impossible to get it and a double stroller in our van, along with the 6 of us. I am hoping for something more compact, like a Maclaren, to rent while we are in Orlando. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The Freedom Pushchair indicates it is for up to 200lbs, however this will be the larger "jogger style." The Maclaren Major indicates it's for up to 140lbs, but we have that and personally I think 140lbs would be a stretch and uncomfortable for someone that big. Convaid makes pushchair/strollers in larger sizes that I believe fold fairly compactly (described as umbrella-style fold), but I'm not aware of standard rentals for those as they are sized to fit and very expensive to purchase. You might be able to look into purchasing or borrowing a Convaid from home to bring with you if, especially if this is something you'll be needing over time for other vacations. Otherwise, I'd suggest a wheelchair rental, either standard adult size or pediatric size. You don't mention how old you daughter is, or why you would prefer a stroller over a wheelchair. But I think at her size, you are looking at a large stroller or a wheelchair.

Enjoy your vacation!

At that size, your only WDW rental option I am aware of would be to rent a wheelchair.
One company that rented Maclaren special needs strollers now rents Special Tomato Pushchairs, which have a weight limit of 110 pounds. Kingdom Strollers rents the Liberty Special Needs Jogger, with weight limit of 100 pounds.

If you look into buying, I believe that the Maclaren Major Special Needs stroller also had the weight capacity decreased. I think it used to be 150 pounds, but is now limited to 100.

if you might need it for other outings, like shopping, etc. you might want to check into purchasing an appropriate chair for her. Insurance will sometimes pay for one, with a doctor’s prescription and justification of need.
Adaptivemall has a good selection, with a lot of details to see what types are out there.

Convaid Cruiser and Convaid Easy Rider are popular for larger children. They fold like umbrella strollers, but have larger weight capacity.

We rented a smaller wheelchair at home and brought it with us. It was great for all our travel needs, and we just brought it back at the end of our week. Easy.

Thank you so much for your help! We used the larger jogging stroller last time, but it is so hard for her to get in and out of. I will turn my search to wheelchairs....
