Has anyone met PUSH (the talking trashcan) while visiting DL? I was so excited to see him when we were there! The only reason I knew who he was was because of the DIS boards! He tried to get my son to talk to him and give him a hug, but my son was so wigged out by the talking and dancing trashcan that he hid behind me the entire time and refused to answer him!!!

Poor PUSH! :teeth:

I have more fun trying to find the guy whose running PUSH. DH had to point him out to me. :thumbsup2

I have read about PUSH but didn't see him last year, we are going again in 54 days, where might we find PUSH?

I haven't heard of PUSH before. Where can he be found and what time of day? All these little tips you can only find on messages boards.

We saw push a couple weeks ago. DD talked to him a bit and hugged him. The rest of the trip she kept saying she wanted to go find the silly garbage can. I spotted Push's "handler" right away in the crowd and had to point him out to DH.

We've seen Push a ton of times. Always in Tomorrowland.. generally around the entrance to Buzz/Star Tours. It totally freaks my girls out to see a moving & talking trash can.

Push visits at different times of the day in Tomorrowland. I've seen him by Innoventions, Space Mountain, and Star Tours.

He is really funny.

Here are some pics of him:

And, here's Snow White talking to Push - right before he told her he had a confession -- someone threw away an apple pie & he ate it. She was justifiably horrified at that. :rotfl2:

My daughter had just turned 3 when she decided that the characters were just people dressed up. She had known who Walt Disney was, and could point him out in pictures in books and TV since she was 2. The day after her 3rd birthday would have been Walt's 100th birthday. We went to DL that day, and I told her that it was his 100th birthday. I never told her he had died. She told me that it was had that he wasn't here to able to visit his park on his birthday. I asked why she said that. She said he died when they turned him into a statue. Apparently she thought that was him standing in the middle of the park. Anyway, she then went on to tell me that the characters like Mickey were not real.

We have seen push a few times. The last time we were at DL, I looked around to find the handler. I spotted him right off. After we left started walking away, I asked her, how does push talk to people. I wanted to see if she thought he was a robot, or if she thought someone was talking to you. She went on about how he had a camera and microphone and speakers, and he walked around and there was someone sitting in a building who watched on a computer and then talked into a microphone and that was how he talked. I told her it wasn't quite that complicated, there was someone standing in the crowd talking into a microphone. She looked around, and could see the guy. She was so exited to have found him.

And no if I thought that my daughter really thought that Push was talking all on his own, I would have never told her she could look for the guy.

Yep we saw him this year, he was over by the buzz ride. You know I never even thought to look for the handler, what I a dope I am. I guess I get so involved in the Disney Magic at the time I just want to believe it's real too. :)

I saw Push a few times but as of late I haven't seen him at all. :confused3

We saw PUSH. DD10 talked wiht him, right outside the restroom, behind Plaza Inn, near stro orbitor...she LOVED him!

Isn't it a riot to watch how people react to him?! :rotfl:

mundaremom and kjhgarden: We saw him in Tomorrowland (a couple of weeks ago). :thumbsup2

PUSH is great fun! Especially with other characters involved or when he sings Happy Birthday to someone. :)

It's kinda sad though how so many kids run up and immediately kick him though, sometimes several times(!) and it seems their wonderful parents rarely say anything. :confused3

I have seen some parents actually 'parent' their child and tell them kicking things at Disneyland isn't cool or acceptible though. :thumbsup2

But many parents just laughed as PUSH questioned being kicked by their brats. :rolleyes1

The next generation (technology-wise) up from PUSH by WDI is due in DCA for testing in early '07 (tentatively), according to this article...

ITA! Unfortunately, my son was one of the kiddos surrounding PUSH, and when I saw him lift up his foot to give PUSH a little test-kick (why do kids feel the need to do that?!) I called out my son's name to correct him, and that is when PUSH caught his name and started conversing with him. I felt so bad!

Oh wow - that looks so cool! I wish we had seen Lucky there, that would have been really cool too!

We saw Push by Astro Orbiters last January. I noticed the guy right away. He was singing happy birthday to a little guy. So cute for kids. DSS is 12, he thought...Okay. He asked why I was taking pics of the trash can and the guy behind it. I thought it was funny. Good memories! :p
I just watched the Kelly Clarkson moment. How funny is that? :rotfl2: Why I didnt see that the first time through this thread?
