One of my most magical Disney memories is interacting with PUSH. I was eleven and on my wish trip. Our family was in a store shopping when I heard someone say hello. I looked around and then this trash can came closer and said "hello, I am push, what's your name?" I said, "My name's Christamae."

"That's a nice name. Hey, Christamae, did you know that you have poo(h) on your shoulder?" (I was wearing a Winnie the Pooh t-shirt)

Push chatted with me about the park, rides, etc. Then he asked who I was there with (mom, dad, grandma, sister, & brother). I pointed out my Dad who was sitting down.

Push goes over and says, "Excuse me, sir, but did you know you're sitting in a pile of Poo(h)?" At first my Dad looked startled and started to get up. Then he saw that he was surrounded by Winnie the Pooh dolls! :rotfl2:

Before Push left, he asked me to give him a hug. I explained I was in a wheelchair and had contractures so I couldn't reach very far. Push said, "That's okay, I'll help." Push got really close and I was able to give him a little hug. :goodvibes

I am twenty, now, and still cherish and reminisce over Push...Is Push still around? If so where/when can I find him?

I have seen him several times at Raffikis Conservation station at AK. I love him and the Palm tree I usually see at the front entrance, not sure what his name is, but both times I saw him we had a fun talk. The first time was in 2002, I had my camcorder, and was taping him with other people when he spins around and yells something like..."Oh...look, its Miss Spielburg!" :rotfl:
I even have it on tape. Then in March I was in line waiting for AK to open and he again comes up to me and asks me if I was his mommy..I am like..uh...no...
He says then why do I have pics of his family...and I am like..uh?..then he says I have pics of palm trees on my shirt. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I always make a point to seek these two out, they are a hoot, especially Push. Love when he sits still, and then when someone tries to put trash in him, he moves and speaks...the look on peoples faces.. :lmao: is just priceless.

He was in Tomorrowland a couple weeks ago. My DD6 had just gotten sick & we were on our way back to the room. But, she'd heard me mention Push & had been talking to all of the trashcans on our trip hoping one would talk back! So...needless to say, we stopped for a minute for a little interaction :thumbsup2

I love PUSH.. We found him on our trip in September last year and also in March this year.. He was the highlight of the trip..

We've had fun experiences talkin' trash with him too..... :thumbsup2

Everytime we've seen him its in Tomorrowland on the walkway to the carousel. (in front of the icecream place)

Thank you for sharing your great experience! Isn't it amazing that a few words can stick with someone their whole lives? :grouphug:

That was a wonderful story, thanks so much for sharing it!

My girls love Push (or at least i think he was push, he was a talking trash can) too. He was in AK inside the building at Rafikis Planet Watch. My dh had my son and my girls were with me. They talked to PUSH for a few minutes and then I looked around and didn't see my dh or ds. So I told the girls we had to find daddy and Ian. So being silly I singingly yelled daaaaaaaaaaady Iannnnnnnnn! So PUSH follows us around yelling daaaaaady Iannnnnnnnnn for at least 2 minutes. My girls thought it was hilarous. My dh was clueless when we found him, it was hilarous.

Great Story!

We saw Push in Tomorrowland as alot of others have. I did not talk with him but watched others. I was soooo excited to see many of the things I read about here on the DIS boards and Push was one of them. I can't wait to go back and see them all again! :teeth:

we saw him in may in tomorrowland. i did the twist and the YMCA with him. totally embarrassed my son!

I love PUSH, too. My DD and I had a fun interaction with him a couple of trips ago. Too fun! :thumbsup2

A less interactive trash can is at the Electric Umbrella at EPCOT. It says different things every time you throw trash in. Try it next time you're there!

Me and my sister had heard so much about PUSH, that we made it our mission to find him on Day 1!

We did find him about halfway through the day in between Buzz and Star Tours, and I was at VMK Central exchanging quests for cards, and my sister came over the radio I had saying " I FOUND PUSH, COME QUICK".

I ran to where my parents were and I radioed my sister, but then I saw her near Star Tours and ran over.

PUSH was playing the Y.M.C.A. and making people dance. I went up to him and said "Hey PUSH!!!". He talked to me for a bit and asked if he could try on my ears, so I put them on top of the trash can, and he started to run away! He then asked me how he looked and I said "Wicked".

My sister got a picture with him and when I took he said "I think I blinked", so I took another one and my camera was taking forever so he was like "Cheeeeeeeeeseeeburrgeeerr andddd freeeenchhhh frieeeees".

DS was 5yo when he became fascinated with PUSH. DS was wearing a pair of shoes with Shrek on them. PUSH just kept calling DS "Shrekshoes". DS thought that was the funniest thing ever.

Push is coll. It is funny watching the kids interact with it. He is usually around the smoothie place in tommorrowland.

PUSH was there last July too. My kids had Guest of honor badges and I wasn't with them but my son was so excited when he told me "Mom, this trashcan said "A can you open that door for me?" and he was telling me all about it.

I had stopped to watch earlier with our youngest but I was meeting back up with the family and our DS didn't seem that big of a deal but as I went to leave I heard "Bye L", I started laughing because at the time PUSH was interacting with a couple other kids and we were just off to the side.

Then after our Family Magic Tour we saw him again. PUSH remembered "A" and asked when we were going home, A said Tomorrow so we were told we had to go home now because we were in Tomorrowland. :lmao: It was hilarious. I love PUSH.

OP, what a sweet story! I had no idea that PUSH has been around for that many years. DD loves him too. She thought PUSH was a girl, but he promptly corrected her!

The talking trash can at Rafiki's Planet Watch is not PUSH.PUSH can only be found in Tommorwland.I am not positive, but I think the talking trash can at Rafiki's is called PIPA.Maybe they are related. ;) :)

My DS loves PUSH but we were having a hard time finding him so I finally asked in Mickey's StarTraders and the very nice CM told us that PUSH lived in the back of the store and he was off on Friday and Saturdays. She told us that he comes out about every 40 minutes starting at 10 am.
