Today I fell in love with a purse :teeth: I know my fellow purse lovers can understand HAVING to have a purse even though you aren't sure what you'll where it with. Well it's a deep sage green and I need some advice about what colors are ok to wear with it. I had on pale pink shirt and didn't think it looked bad with that but didn't want to break any "rules" :) Last night on What Not To Wear they were mentioning quite often that everything doesn't have to "match". That you can use different colors as long as you incorporate neutrals however I'm still not sure what colors would be ok with this purse. I know some people say not to worry about what others think of your style :teeth: but I do like to look put together and have things look good together. So do you have any thoughts?

Is it possible to post a pic? If not, I will let you know my purse is white with a design in 30 diffrent colors. It is impossible to match all the time. If it's a cute purse, it's a cute purse regardless of what you wear. I think if you love it use it no matter what.

I can't post a picture  and I have look all over online for a picture of it but can't find one. I like your thought though - it is true - A Cute Purse is a Cute Purse. :teeth:

First off let me say that mixed marriages rarely work so you have an uphill battle if you choose to remain in this love relationship with a purse. I once thought I loved a wallet but later realized that it was only there for my money.

With regards to color coordination, I know at Thanksgiving we put a lot of sage in our turkey dressing so I would think anything that is colored like a turkey should be fine. I remember in grade school we used pretty much a whole box of 64 Crayola Crayons coloring turkey feathers so my suggestion would be to go to the grocery store and pick up a Butterball turkey and a box of crayons and take them to the store that has the purse and see how well they match. Don't be afraid to ask the sales clerk working there to hold the items together so you can stand back and see how they work. Sometimes it takes seeing how these things look when someone else is wearing them to really make a true decision.

LOL, Jeff! Too funny.

I guess I am the wrong one to answer, because I too fall in love with fun purses, but I carry the same bag all season. I put my much loved winter bag to rest in my closet and started with a fun, handsewn brightly colored fabric bag a few weeks ago. Regardless of what fun clothes I'm wearing, the same fun colored bag goes out the door.

I don't think it matters if the purse matches your outfit or not. I use the same purse all the time no matter what I'm wearing and all my friends do the same too. I don't think people will care whether the color of the purse matches your outfit, I never notice anyway.

Hmmm, I've always matched my hangbag to my lipstick, is this not right? :teeth:

Just kidding! I actually am getting a lime green bag myself! Think of how cute it will be in winter with all the drab colors! Get it!

Jeff my purses and I have had quite a relationship, although I must say I have not remain commited to any of them! I never thought of the turkey example  My husband is equally helpful in my quest for always making sure my purse looks ok with my outfit. I have a yellow and bright pink one as well and at the rate I'm going to have a rainbow in my closet. I just can't resist them and don't even try anymore! :teeth: Thanks to all of you for your advice!
