Pure Speculation- about ROFR...

OK..I'm still waiting for my 100 point BWV to make it through ROFR...I've already decided that 100 isn't going to cut it and I'll be adding another 50 points quickly. Yesterday, I called my guide. Even though I'm not an owner yet, I have one assigned from other visits when I was considering buying.

The main point of my questions were --

If I make ROFR - how do I go about adding on quickly. He answered my questions, and even pulled up the UY that I'm looking at. There are only 3 points available in the "Disney Bank" for June UY BWV so I'd go on a waiting list.

If I don't make ROFR- I told him that I was only interested in BWV, would I be able to buy 160 points from him or would I also go on a waitlist? He said he has points availabe in other UYs but not June. ( Not really a biggie- he had Sept and that would work great for me as I plan lots of Oct and Dec trips )

Now...I'm a bit worried. The whole "3 points in the June UY cookie jar" makes me feel like a prime ROFR target.

Should I worry? If Disney already has a list, will they take the contract?

Anyone want to speculate?

No one really has a CLUE what Disney's thought process is on ROFR. I think that price is the major factor so if you are on the low end and they know they can sell it for X more then...... you might be in trouble, but who knows... There does not appear to be real logic that anyone can follow besides "too good to be true pricing equals Disney bought it"

My own speculation is that it isn't based on what's "in the bank", but what the demand is. They probably try not to keep points in the bank, but ROFR based on demand. If I come in, and say I want 100 BWV points with a June UY, they'll exercise ROFR on the first 100 June points they can get. What's in the bank is what's left over (if they ROFR a 150 point contract, they'll have 50 points left over in the bank).
