Is there a place to purchase wine for on-board consumption near the port in Key West?

I bought some wine (the Key Limen) at the Key West Winery. I am not sure exactly where it is, I walked all day so it has kind of all blurred together! It is located on the Key West Shopping Guide map you can get on board. Here is a link to their web-site http://www.thekeywestwinery.com/THE WELCOME PAGE.htm , they would be able to tell you exactly how far from the prot they are located.

A lot (maybe all?) of their wines are not traditional, in that they are made from other fermented fruits instead of fermented grapes. I thought it was very good, definately different and not something I can get at home, but it is probably not a good place to go if you are looking for something more traditional. They do let you taste the wines before you buy so you can see what you're getting yourself into! Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks you guys! This way we can pick up a couple of bottles to have in our room in the evening when the kiddies are sleeping. I'm assuming we probably have to bring wine bottle openers, but anyone know if we need wine glasses too?

There is also a large supermarket (Publix maybe) in Key West and in Florida wine is sold there. While I did not purchase wine in KW, I did buy a bunch of bottled water and some sodas for the room at a Walgreens or Eckerts that was about 3-4 blocks from the port. There was no way I was schlepping that in my luggage (I had already overpacked enough!) and it was nice knowing that in the first port I'd be able to get anything I wanted very easily.

True, but the Publix in Key West isn't exactly walking distance from the pier. All of the options mentioned above are within six blocks of the pier.

Hello there,
Buying wine is Key West is not hard to find - the Key West winery has been there for eons - now if you are looking for a store that carried a little bit of everything and a lot of the locals go there is Fausto's Grocery Store which is located on the corner of Flemming and Bahama - Flemming St runs East to West - right by the Hotel LaConcha - one block off Duval Street - Hope you can understand these directions. If you need more help, just drop me a note at my email address.
If it is about Key West, I know quite a bit -
always
Shirley
